He. Got. To. The. Ball. First.

That’s the difference. That’s why it isn’t a red and why VAR didn’t intervene.

The discussion is only happening because you lost.

That. Does. Not. Matter.

Why did the defender put his leg where Robbo was gonna step after clearing the ball?

posted on 11/1/20

VAR did not even take a look at the tackle, to see if it merited a red or not, that`s the problem

You boys should be more concerned about winning 1 in 6, rather than imaginary red card tackles. 🤔

They won`t look at it Billy, because not looking at it favoured Liverpool. You should know by now the refs will never ever do anything that may go against Liverpool.

Bunch of freaks can’t even tell Robbo got the ball. The spurs player should of been sent off for being late. He could of broke Robbo’s leg ffs

They know he got the ball first.

Its all just a coping mechanism.

Yellow for the second one definitely but not sure about the first, obviously not a red though

Second one was definitely a yellow and bordering on red due to it being off the ball.

First one at most a yellow but for me not even a freekick.

Hate Spurs but if Robertson can't control himself to the point where his leg is following through like that, then it's reckless play and probably a red.

If it was a similar tackle but someone gets caught with a flailing elbow after it'd probably be a red, it's all about the end result and the safety of the players.

It's not even close to the same as a flailing elbow.

He needed to get to the ball and it was impossible for him to change direction after getting the ball.

Unfortunately the Spurs player planted his foot in a spot where Robbo could not avoid stamping on, both were trying to reach the ball fairly. I don't see what Robbo could have done to avoid impact and it was not reckless.

Late to the party but never a red imo - showing photos of Aubameyang vs Robertson is very misleading.

Robertson was kicking the ball and his leg came up, Aubameyang was applying downward pressure and nowhere near the ball.

Slo mo makes it look intentional but I think it was a reasonable challenge personally.
