"Often teams that have been losing finalists, rock up the following season the lift the trophy."
It's happened three times in 64 years:
- Liverpool last year
- Bayern in 12/13
- Inter in 92/93
So wouldn't say it was something that happened often. But yeah it happens.
Without Kane though? I don't know. I wish I had some of your optimism.
Here's hoping
If we can sign a RB, DM and another striker this window then we might see some signs of life. I would think getting rid of Eriksen at this point can only be a +ive (Hopefully Rose too) and If DNombele can get his act together and speedy returns for Kane & Sissoko then we could be a dark horse. Still don't think we would beat Pool, City, Barca, RM, Juve or Bayern in a one off final.
TBH I don't think we'd beat Norwich in a one off final
So with CL football highly unlikely

"Jose will get more out of his team, when he brings in his own players"
That would not be getting more out of "this team" would it?
