Rashford going to the dark side?

"David Ornstein of The Athletic claiming that Rashford met up with the agent early last year with both parties impressed with how talks went."

If it was early last year they can't have been that impressed

doesn't have to mean he's gonna go. Could also mean he becomes a top 5 best paid player in the world.

He’s gotten his big new deal so not sure why he would want to.

Hi Robb. Who in your opinion would you say is currently worth more?

- Harry Kane who is 27 in a few months and is injury prone

- Rashford who is 22 and improving

- Sterling who is 25 and approaching his peak

- Maddison who is 23 and arguably the best English midfielder already

What do you think their values are in this current market and who would you most like to have at the club if you could have one of the four?

Was it Scholes or Gary Neville who expressed similar concerns recently about Rashfords long term future at the club

I read somewhere about this, and it was suggested that the discussion was about marketing, not representing Rashford in club negotiations. It's all conjecture.

When you say Sterling's peak, you mean his age?
Cos football wise, for me, the mans at the very top of his game, and its scary to think what he could do when he reaches his prime years.
Still 3 years off mind....

Finally breaks the more than 10 goals a season barrier with all those pens and after his 300k a week contract what more is he expecting to get?

Rashford won't leave, he's United through and through. No qualms with him trying to boost his profile

Can't see any of them wanting to join Arsenal, tbh.

Top lad - don’t bank on that. He won’t hang around if we are around 7th every season. If another team comes for him with a serious offer he will consider just as you would with your job. There is no loyalty in football. If rashford was playing poorly we’d ship him out. It works both ways

Honestly can't see Rashford moving. Just my thoughts. Think he loves the club too much

UWW doing the self-indulgent pessimism again.

First, it's far from inevitable that United stagnate. We have a core of talented young players improving before our eyes, with dead wood set to be expensively replaced. We're fifth and not a million miles from the CL places. And this is just one window into a major squad rebuilding project. While you take it as an article of faith, it's far from inevitable that we fail to drag ourselves back into the top tier.

Secondly, while notions of club loyalty ruling the game are romantic fallacies, there are many counter-examples of players sticking with their clubs when they have attractive offers. 'There is no loyalty in football' is factually wrong.

Money shouldn't be an object at United for Rashford, but even most professional footballers who do have a strong sense of loyalty eventually want to see whether or not they're actually capable of cutting the mustard at the top teams going.

Especially if they've caught wind of Robb saying they're on a par with Mbappé.

I really don’t think they’re that far apart in natural talent. They’ve had different paths and different ups and downs but once their careers are over I really don’t think one will be Messi and one will be Adriano

Wow, racist.

Agents do a lot more than arrange transfers, although admittedly that does seem to be where they earn their cash.

Raiola is the Scott Boras of football, if I was a player he'd be my agent.

Yes he's a kant but he's on your side, and you'll be exceptionally well paid as a result.

'If I was a player he'd be my agent'.

Same.

Fack that. If I was an agent he'd be my agent.
