Won't be long before Everton find themselves having to nominally "sell" the ground to him and Moshiri in order to mask the runaway operating losses.

FFP has made this the biggest scam going nowadays.

£30m and that’s not even to secure the deal. It’s just first option.

One year of losses. Soon sort that out with more sponsorship deals and someone buying Kenwright shares at an inflated price.

Really? Wouldn't it make more sense to keep the ownership structure as it is right now whilst they cook the books over the next 3-4 years?

Bringing in new shareholders at this point would just attract undue attention. It's much easier to skirt the FFP rules with fewer voices piping up.

Didn’t say when the share would be sold. But sure the USM deal for the training ground is due for renewal. I wouldn’t sweat losses, not with a billionaire accountant as major shareholder.

Is it legal, well for now it is. fair market value can slowly be increased. Was all okay when United and co outspent the rest. Now we have the money they League makes the top tier a closed shop.

Breaking into the Top 4/6 is the most democratic it's ever been for a while. Every PL club stands to make a minimum of £120m from the common TV pot before a ball is kicked. While the petrodollar clubs get a disapproving tap on the back of the head when they stretch the rules too far.

Anyone still crying poverty is being disingenuous to a degree.

Nobody said poverty. But it is becoming a closed shop.

If everyone has £120m. Does that make it more of a level playing field or just that everyone has £120m more to spend each season.

It used to be much harder than it is now. Just look at the turnaround in fortunes for clubs like Arsenal, United and even Chelsea. The past few seasons have shown that anyone with a forward-thinking chairman could reasonably expect to build a very competitive side.

30m to be spunked on someone like James Tomkins knowing Everton.

Who cares. We can pay £50m and loan him back to wherever he came from.

£110m losses.

No more big transfers for Everton

posted on 15/1/20

What losses.

Do you want to look at that again.

Oh, £30m to have first bid on naming of a stadium not even past planning application. Do you think these ‘losses’ bother anyone

----------------------------------------------------------------------
£110m plus about £22m reported in the previous financial year.

Usmanov's £30m cheque is just enough for the Everton beancounters to keep the total amount of reported losses below the £105m FFP threshold allowed over 3 consecutive seasons.

The most important thing is to avoid a transfer ban.

£30m just to have the first option to bid. Wonder what’s the next deal to go through.

£110m of losses. Everton must reign in their spending, or face points deduction.

The Premier League will investigate Everton's accounts after it announced a company part-owned by Alisher Usmanov paid £30m to secure an option on the naming rights of their new stadium, Sky Sports News can confirm.

£30m to think about naming rights.

What has been paid for West Ham stadium

posted on 18/1/20

Nobody has come in with 30p for naming rights at the Dogs Dinner Stadium, never mind even reserving first dibs - not even PAL or Pedigree Chum, heck even the Di|do brothers can't attract Durex
