Sporting wanted £60 million.
Ed’s not prepared to pay any less then £85 million.

But i can think of another 5 letter word that begins with 'P' that compliments Ed.
Latest I saw on Twitter (I know) was that he trained as normal today and Sporting want to keep him till at least Friday to play in the Lisbon derby vs Benfica.
Other rumours yesterday suggested it was almost a done deal, to be announced today or tomorrow.
No one has a clue do they?!

There are fans that question if we are in for the player at all given the lack of evidence to support that being the case, and there are those that hate Woodward and therefore insist he is messing up a deal we dont even know the club are pursuing..

It doesn't do the club much harm if this potential transfer is delayed by a few days. The club will look at the engagements online as a positive and it wasn't likely that Fernandes was going to play tomorrow or start on Sunday anyway.
You'd also like to think it could be a smokescreen for something else but I wouldn't hold my breath on that one!
