Exactly. If Matt Judge isn't up to the task Ed should have fired him by now.

He should have been fired for the Sanchez contract alone.

I will only have a go at Ed regarding this particular deal if it isn't done this month.

Woodward and Judge are their own comedy double act.

You'll get apologists but it's telling Edwards at Liverpool can yet again get a deal over the line and in the books for Jan 1st whilst Woodward is still yet to sign off.

A good negotiator would have dealt with it and nipped it in the bud early.

We need to find out where Ed and Judge live and release 1000s of pidgeons to sht on them. We can tie little banners saying Ed out to each Pigeon.

To be fair Hoody, its much easier to activate a £7.25m release clause in someones contract than to negotiate a valuation/price which potentially involves a player swap.

However, our Ed does have a track record of being useless in this regard.

Actually the deal should have been done before the transfer window started. Just contracts would be getting signed now. It's not like he was an unknown. Our interest was well established, equally so our need.

Even if Sporting wanted to keep him till whenever, that too would have been negotiated since. Look at Dortmund and Haaland.

who says out interest was well established?

there is absolutely no evidence that it was, in fact the club denied any rumours of being interested previously

Yeah fair comment but if you look at Edwards record in January windows it's a pattern of success.

When you think about it, Ed is actually a bit of a stallion. He doesn't pull out until he's seen it through until the end.

7.25m looked a good deal at first then i seen that video of him trying to knock panels from a goal for a Japanese game show.

I think our scouting is a bit more thorough than that but fair enough.

Yes. As bad as things are at United, they need the money more than we need the player. There are other targets out there that if we have to wait until summer that we can go for. Would be insane to allow him to play with a deal in place.

No. I'm sure the likes of VVD, Keita, Mane would have come to Liverpool to play for Hodgson in the Europa League.
