MUDD is correct about Liverpool’s opponents.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
He also said he would only take three Liverpool players for United
----------------------------------------------------------------------
That’s his opinion, wum or not, but the assertion about rivals on the downward slope is spot on.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Beating this City side to the title and getting 97 points last season point to a brilliant achievement. Not to mention a CL title. It’s impossible to state that the standard has gone down across all of Europe with any relevance to the debate - when has the quality been that good in both the league and Europe at the same time?
Most sensible people would accept that this Liverpool side would compare well against most teams over the past 20/30 years
----------------------------------------------------------------------
No one is denying that they’d compare ok, but it’s plainly obvious the big boys of Europe haven’t been anywhere as near as good as they were in the last couple of seasons. Not to mention the domestic league city aside (and even they have missed key players) are mostly in transition.

As in my whole article is that this Liverpool side would compare with the best teams of the past. It was MuDD who wanted to bring up the supposed weakness of the others even though most PL seasons have sides in transition but very few get 100 points

Is that what MUDD is alluding to when he is questioning liverpool's title run ?

When have I ever said that?
I’ve only ever said that Arsenal and Spurs have been poor this season and that our points per game is poorer than it should be
Completely different to the Liverpool argument.
You see, even with a better Spurs and Arsenal they’d be walking the league. But with a better Spurs and Arsenal we’d be lucky to be in 5th

Elvis. The City game is the league cup one. Out of the six games above mentioned only four are league games. If we can win the home games and get a point from Chelsea or Liverpool it's not too bad a return IMO. Anything more would be ahead of par.

No worries. Where are you? Wet and miserable here!

Tenerife. Kid free for the day so me and the missus started early. Just sat at a nice tapas spot on the beach front. 25 degrees. Hopefully the tapas brings my round a bit!
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Nice! My parents go there (PDLA) three times a year (including next week). They may as well live there!
Enjoy!
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Never understood why people go back to the same places every year, especially beach holidays, but I guess when you get older you find something you like and stick to it.
Well I'm old people Baz, and I like to go somewhere new every year.
Sometimes close, Holland and Belgium last yeay, but New York this year, it depends on the finances.
Never liked beach holidays thou3, I'm always bored after the first half day.

----------------------------------------------------------------------
But no one is arguing that they wouldn’t compare
As in my whole article is that this Liverpool side would compare with the best teams of the past. It was MuDD who wanted to bring up the supposed weakness of the others even though most PL seasons have sides in transition but very few get 100 points

I don’t think Real beat them comfortably. Salah got injured early on and there were two goalkeeping errors
As for the 100 points, what’s to say that Liverpool wouldn’t beat a better Arsenal and Spurs side? They have a great big game record and beat Barca 4-0 and while missing some big players

If you really think the two things are the same it would appear you’re reaching

Elvis. The City game is the league cup one. Out of the six games above mentioned only four are league games. If we can win the home games and get a point from Chelsea or Liverpool it's not too bad a return IMO. Anything more would be ahead of par.

Never understood why people go back to the same places every year, especially beach holidays, but I guess when you get older you find something you like and stick to it.
