Slightly off topic but I reckon Danny Murphy has the most winners against Utd.
I'm sure he scored three goals in three different 1-0 wins early on in the 2000's?
----------------------------------------------------------------------

He did. Free-kick 2001, lob in 02 and penalty in 04. All at OT, all 1-0 to Liverpool. Remember Luke Chadwick getting sent off in the first one. Houllier won a few against us,

The one where Kuyt scored a hat trick was pretty great, Suarez dancing through like 4 united players in the box was great

Even Nani was crying with laughter at that.

Didn’t Nani get an assist forKl Kuyts second?

I see your fans are planning to trash United’s bus before the game.

The FA Cup game in 1999 is also a great memory. Didn't think we'd score but scored twice at the death.

Funnily enough I remember the game where Molby scored that cracker. Listened to it on the radio in my United scarf but soon skulked off to bed thanks to Jan Molby!
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Did Ole come off the bench to win that game?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
He did.

Also Berba's overhead kick was to make it 2-0. The winner (3-2 goal) was a header.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Remember that game, was sick in bed listening on the radio and Ole ruined my day

I wish Kuyt left it to go in. Would of been classed as one of the best goals in the leagues history in a such a big game.

I think it is but you gotta make sure and I understand why Kuyt went for it. I think it would bounce off the inside of the post

The irony of this. Liverpool v Man Utd always has been and always will be the biggest game in English Football. Both teams have won 3 times as many league titles as little City. They are by far and away the most successful 2 teams in England.

Meanwhile Man City count their Charity Shields.

Those two Carragher bullet headers giving United a 3-2 win at Anfield

Didn't he end up scoring more goals for Manchester United than for Liverpool?

Do you real football fans gather and give names to rivalries?

You need to get out more.

Other great games for me was the 3-3 in 94.

That's the game that made me a Liverpool fan as a nose leaking youngin.

The 4-1 would be the obvious choice I think.

There used to be so much passion in this fixture but the past few years it's been a scrappy affair. Hopefully there's a show to be watched this Sunday.

There was the 3-0 in 2007 when Nani scored that thunderbolt. That game was total domination for us
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Is that the one hypia got sent off early, watched that mess in the pub
----------------------------------------------------------------------
The game Robb is talking about was in 2008. Chelsea beat Arsenal 2-1 the same day. You're thinking of the 4-0 game in 2003.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Was this the game where Liverpool got two players sent off and United got two penalties?

My favourite was Man U 1 Liverpool 2 both scored by Barnes at OT on 1990. Celebrated alot having not beaten them away for a while and the 4-1 away win when Dossena scored the 4th. Worst when beaten 1-0 at Anfield scored by Rooney after a mistake by Dudek. I missed my flight for that when in Hong Kong Airport watched it ipn the business lounge as and then took the next flight in the morning traveling from Japan to Middle East. Other terrible ones when Ferdinand and O'shea scored in last minutes.

Us beating united at anfield 3 - 1 I think.it was when gerrard took the ball from midfield and slammed it in. Barthez no where near it and what made it even funnier was the united fan at the back sticking one figure at the shot when it flew in

As a neutral games I have enjoyed between Liverpool and Man United have been:
March 2009- 4-1 victory for Liverpool at Old Trafford, I think Man U had a 7 point lead with a game in hand so victory for them would have surely been title over, Liverpool got a crucial win coming from behind, I mostly remember Gerrard kissing the camera after scoring his pen.

October 2009- Liverpool were on a bad run of form and beat Man U 2-0, Torres scored and Ngog scored very very late on.

September 2010- Man United 3-2 Liverpool, Man U raced into a 2 goal lead thanks to Berbatov with a brace, Liverpool out of nowhere pulled it back to 2-2, I think Gerrard scored a pen and freekick, then Berbatov scored an unbelievable overhead kick to secure a 3-2 win for Man United.

January 1999- FA cup- (forgot if it was 3rd round or 4th round) Man United 2-1 Liverpool- Liverpool scored early, had a few chance to get the 2nd goal, Man U then scored a late equaliser and then scored in stoppage time to win the game, they went on to win the FA cup and the treble

December 2000- Man United 0-1 Liverpool, Danny Murphy scores a freekick, it was nice for Man U to actually lose a home game in the league and I think Liverpool went something like 5 years without a win against Man United which they put an end to.

Just read through all the comments, for some reason I thought Berbatov overhead kick made it 3-2 but no it was a header that made it 3-2
