----------------------------------------------------------------------
Why not, our young players are all very interchangeable. I would sooner that than players like Rose and Verts, who are clearly past it now.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I agree that rose and jan are on there way out . However Watford will attack us with there wingers and get crosses in. Sarr will be to quick for vertonghan. Sessengon is stil learning and maybe due a rest. So put rose in to use his experience. Who knows if he gets his form back he could earn himself a decent move, even though he states he would rather sit on his backside for 18 months than be sold. Pretty pathetic really not even such Jose will get him back to where he was 2-3 years ago

If he is at the club, he is still our best midfielder, so plays. Why play inferior players, just because he says he wants to go. He is still getting paid, so should be playing, until he actually does go. I have no problem with that at all.
Plenty of other wantaway players played right up until the end. Eriksen should be no different.
even if eriksen had a long term contract he is playing no where near good enough to warrant a start. Jose is playing him bang out of position to make up for the fact we have no CMs or a DM, just isnt working.

I agree we are not seeing peak Eriksen, but he is still playing better than any of our other midfielders, have you seen the likes or Dier or Winks lately, and yes I know they play different positions, but they are still classified as midfielders. N`dombele is permanently injured, so as of now by a countrymile Eriksen is still the best Spurs have.
Calm down Sandy. I think you will win and I rather see you in the top 4 than the other teams.

Other than Sandy, anyone else fancy us to get a result ? I think it will be a really tough game. Remember us losing there last season to end a good little run. They totally outfought us..... I hate these type of games when Spurs (who might have more talent) take the opposition for granted. Sounds like they will start their new Argie winger in addition to talented players like Deulofeu, Sarr, &Pereyra and in Deeney you can bet he'll be focused on playing up against Sanchez who I wouldn't back to fight his way out of a paper bag. Pearson has them organized since his arrival its pretty clear they were in a false position early in the season. Cant see any Spurs win being "easy" and probably wouldn't be gutted with a point

These games are always tough, but no way will Spurs take this game lightly. And whilst you point out all these so good players Watford have, they have as I have already pointed out only won five Prem games all season. They are not that good. Any CL side should be winning this sort of game.
Sanchez pretty well had Salah in his back pocket last weekend, so whilst Deeney will prove a different kind of problem, Sanchez should still be able to handle him.
Just to remind everybody Watford have already lost at home to the likes of Burnley, West Ham and Brighton this season. So I don`t quite get why everybody is getting giddy about how good they are. They are on a bit of run, but they are not exactly world beaters.

I think you are missing the point mate. They clearly had a bad start to the season and some managerial issues but they are still a decent team who have improved considerably with the return of their talisman in Deeney & a very capable manager in Pearson. Would not be in the least bit surprised to see them finish close to half way in the prem when its all said and done

100% agree. Everyone here with the exception of Sandy seems to acknowledge, it makes no difference who the manager is. This team has got old in key areas, appears mentally exhausted and is now suffering the physical impact of playing too much football without having the proper squad depth (through a criminal lack of funding) that allows players to stay fresh but also continue to improve as there's no competition for places.,
For as much talent as the team has, i rarely find myself feeling optimistic as I think we are a step bellow where we should be physically & mentally against most of the teams in the prem. This tends to show up in basic errors, slow starts, lack of imagination in attacking play and a total lack of belief to beat good sides & obvious signs of complacency against the smaller teams

In the last 5 games, Watford are top of the league with 4 wins and 1 draw.
Tottenham are 15th1 win, 1 draw and 3 loses.
I do not expect anything out of this game. Typical Tottenham

I prefer to look at the real table. Watford are 4th from bottom, and have been in the bottom three most of the season. They are not that good.
Supporters praising a team 4th from bottom, but don`t praise their own CL team. I don`t get it.
