Lucky to lose at Anfield (missed some glorious chances)
Beat United
Drew at Sheff. Utd
Beat Villa
Beat Wolves
Beat Bournemouth away with ease.
SO basically one loss in 7 at Anfield, 4 wins 2 draws.
Form not too dissimilar to ours and not the easiest fixture list either.
They will be a serious challenge.
Poch ALWAYS went 3 at the back vs them because he feared their long ball and their big men, even when they didnt start with the likes of Deeney.
We will need energy in the team because they have that new manager boost. If we go toe to toe we'll beat them as we are better.

To be fair normally I would agree with sandy here because Watford are dog s**. No 2 ways about it, Watford are a terrible team who are in a bit of form, but the issue is Spurs are just as dogs**. No Kane = no natural striker. Lucas and Son are not good enough at playing as a striker.

The bottom line is Don, a lot of our supporters are going all weak at the knees about having to face Troy Deeney.. Yes, he can be a bit of a handful, but then so can Son, Moura, Dele, Lo Celso, Lamela etc.
I prefer to dwell on the good parts of our team, instead of every match, whatever the opponents worry about the opposition.
Watford are in a bit of form, but they are not that great a side, as I have already said. Spurs if they get their act together should win this match.

Dele seems to be the wrong fit when Kane isn’t playing. I would like to see Lamela replace him. With Dele Son and Moura we have 3 players that don’t really like to get involved in build up.

Son runs with his head down
Dele runs ahead of the forwards.
None of them like to drop deep. Dele tries to do this but doesn’t really have the technique nor mid rage passing ability to be a proper trequartista.
