It was Lawrence’s corner for the goal.
I thought he put a shift in today to be fair.

I think he Lawrence almost always tries hard, just that his efforts rarely produce much. Rooney strolls round the pitch like he’s on a walk in the park. Doesn’t mean he doesn’t contribute.

Lawrence was his usual ineffective self in the first half but improved in the second
----------------------------------------------------------------------

He did the corner for the goal, did a flick in the first half which went to a Derby player and did a good pass in the second half. Apart from that he got booked for a petulant foul and didn't do much at all. I would rather have Sibley in the team.

I thought that as well as Holmes and Knight, who did very well and can jump very high, Waghorn did well.

Good 3 points, but a chap who sits near me said the more points we have, the more they will take off us. I wonder if he will be right?

I thought the ref was good.

He sounds fun!

Finally back

Derby started well and we looked quite confident and then Hull sussed us out, thought about it and changed their approach. Nullification and domination for 20 mins even though we did not look overwhelmed.

Assured performances from Wisdom and Clarke. Rooney was being marked out of the game. Huddz did good playing in that deeper role. Lawrence showed a couple of good touches.

Steady rather than spectacular.

And Backo got hit in the face by the ball

And I shook Vidal's hand after racing down the steps to see him

In my defence I was weighed down by a heavy coat and my path out was impeded by the departing shuffling hordes. But for that I feel I would have evaded View’s clutches comfortably.

Great view there Jorvik

We NEVER score goals like that.

Good goal, Roos would have punched the ball away!

Nice goal for Swansea yesterday, Conor Gallagher passed to Rian Brewster and he scored. Why haven't we gone for them? Just what we need, young hungry players to go with our own young players? Gallagher one side and Knight the other.

I thought Knight was excellent yesterday, he never stopped trying and the way he leaps and win balls in the air is fantastic for a smallish player and his tackling is good. He is everything which the other wide man is not.

Knight was excellent but the wide position isn’t ideal - he doesn’t really have a trick to beat a man. Worrying that it has all gone quiet on the transfer front. There was very little individual creativity yesterday. We haven't got a game-changer on the books at all.

Vidal, I dont think there will be any transfers in until the new investment is sorted, which itself seems to be reliant on the outcome of the EFL charge.

I expect a quiet January on the transfer front.
