We don't need to sign just anyone

Would you be happy seeing all the youth get played just because they’re fit and potentially hurting their progression?

We saw under LVG a similar situation with an under-qualified squad and so many youth players played when they were the only option and almost all of them are off in the land of league 2 etc

Every squad needs a balance and it’s a patent fact that we are lacking experience

They're moving too slowly in the transfer market and that's a fact.

Why wasn't Fernandes negotiated before the window opened? Why wasn't he identified and signed over the summer?

The club is a shambles and Ole will be sacked before he can implement his plans fully. He's the perfect fall guy.

I'd prefer to buy no one that bring in a panic buy who doesn't really fit in any long term plan as well as having high wages meaning we stuggle to move them on.

I'd prefer a loan, but not really sure what can realistically be done?

DDG and Pogba are world class

Romero, Maguire, AWB, Fred, Rashford are quality

Martial, Shaw, Bailly, Pereira and Lindelof have not fulfilled their potential and arent good enough when called on.

Williams, McTominay, James, Greenwood are top prospects

The rest arent good enough.

Shocking state of affairs for a United squad

We are not lacking experience. Our experienced players are our weakest links because their peaks are no more that high.

Also buying experience to add to a team that plans to peak in a year or 2 is basically a waste.

The best thing about this season was that we cleared out the the deadwood. Deadwood that was acquired by just signing any old big name to paper over the cracks.
The whole purpose of this season was to pay a solid foundation.
A motivated squad that brought us back to our core values, but maybe lacked some quality. Then over the next few windows, identify the right players to add that quality and move the club forwards.
Now yes, those targets should have already been identified (we don't know that they have/ haven't). And at least one should have been secured before this window even opened.
I don't think many would argue this has been a successful window. However, signing anyone for the sake of a signing, is exactly the kind of poor executive decision that has got us here in the first place
