40 or 30 was the difference we’re still sheet atm I only see us falling behind Liverpool and won’t be surprised finishing 50 points behind them.
Decades of mismanagement? You won loads under Wenger ffs.

All London based PL clubs are doomed...it's a political conspiracy
Recruiting has been very very poor in the last 7-8 years years.
I can only think of Cazorla and Sanchez being successes
Currently we have the weakest arsenal squad for the last 25 years

Totally agree! Forget the math issue. Unfortunately Arsenal have many fans like DJ who are in a state of misbelief. This team currently, from goalkeeper to their front line, is devoid of energy, passion and basic skills. Perhaps some of the younger players can make a difference, but that is 2-3 years out! Best advice I could give Arteta is to sit down and watch the Liverpool team yesterday against Man U. Simply observe their every player being active on and off the ball. Watch their fast breaks, not the lazy strolling up and down the field while the other team's defense gets time to set up. Nothing has really gotten better since Arsene has left, if anything things have deteriorated. Right now Arteta looks as lost on the sidelines as Emery did. Perhaps a fan revolt and empty seats might get the attention of ownership?????
Going into another big game with no genuine full backs
Years of mismanagement poorly constructed contracts indecisiveness has been criminal it still continues while rivals like Liverpool received over £200m from the sales of Phillipe Coutinho and Luis Suarez alone, which has funded many of their recent signings. They have also generated more value from players like Christian Benteke (£27 million), Jordan Ibe (£15 million) and Dominic Solanke (£19 million) than Arsenal have been able to for much better players.
We sold Oxlade Chamberlain to them for £35m surely Liverpool won’t sell to us the Ox for less than £100m and definitely won’t let his contract run down knowing too well the consequences.
I do hope like many fans of the Arsenal that Edu and co will start sorting out the mess which has resulted to us going through one of our worsest season in memory while wasting money right front and centre.
Decline started in 2016 when a certain Santi got injured
What a miserable, joyless bunch you are! Sure thing's aren't great, but we have a new manager, remember? Do you expect him to turn thing's around in a few weeks?? have you seen Man U lately, how long is it taking them? Even 'Pool have had a 30 year wait for a league title. Give the man 2 summers then judge him. I remember the Terry Neil days, now THAT was a tough time. Cheer up ffs lads!

There are plenty of reasons to be optimistic and although we can't just go out and buy a whole new team like one or two other Premier League clubs can we do spend money. There has been under-investment in key areas of the team, big sums of money wasted on some players and perhaps over-investment in other areas of the pitch - did we really need both Lacazette & Aubameyang? Would have rather just had the latter.
Tyke
Yes, they really did expect things to be turned around instantly. Hell ALL of this should be fixed by now, they got Wenger sacked nearly two years ago. It was all Wenger's fault remember, he was the egomaniacal tyrant, with too much power who mismanaged us to mediocrity. Since we sacked him, that should all be fixed by now and us in 3rd or 4th easy-peasy, back in CL this year and challenging for the title next, job done. In fact, according to them, we should be in CL already and challenging for title THIS season. But they'll give Arteta a break there because it was 'that incompetent Emery' who stuffed that up
No point even trying to get them to think otherwise, since they're all in the know about these thing because they watch alot of football (any/every game they can find, that type). So they know better than us and know that it is indeed possible to complete a 3-5 year rebuilding/restructuring job, in just 2 years. They actually know how to do it in 18 months, hence them getting Emery sacked for not making it on time. Arteta's neck'll be on the line by the summer too if he doesn't get a string of wins, fast.
