Still quite depressing it has come to this. Kind of makes you wish the days when 4th place was a trophy.

If we had beaten Palace and Sheffield, this would have an amazing result

Well, we have enjoyed those great days... but at moments, we just have to find ways out of this mess.

We finished 5th in Wenger last season and were getting worse and worse.

Fact it we are still trying to remove his useless signing from the club which are holding us back (Mustafi/Xhaka/Ozil)

His complete balls up with players contracts costs us minimum 200Mil at the very least. I'm still baffled why we didnt sell Sanchez for £60Mil to City, he then left on a free basically 6 month later.

I worked in education a few years back and it hit me that an entire generation of gooners have grown up with pretty much no silverware. They were always like ‘Sir, how you can be so calm’ and I was all ‘kids, I was around to see us go invincible, win the league at old Trafford etc., I’ve have the good times’

Won’t somebody think of the children!!

Well I’m not crying for the hapless Wenger to come back - by the end he couldn’t buy an away result...

Its Wenger's buying in his last few seasons and giving huge contracts to players who didn't deserve it that has got us into this mess. Anyone who doesn't see that has the blinders on.

Great to see the passion and although we didn't win, it's great that the gap between us and top 4 hasn't increased.

Big confidence boost for the team also. Got to squash the negativity now and focus on the positives for a while, it's the only way we can help the club get back on the up.

Mate we were literally hanging onto top 4 by our finger nails. IF he signed the correct players he would most likely still be hear. his player recruitment was beyong shambolic during the last few years.

Mustafi signed instead of Van Dyke.
Xhaka instead of Kante.
Didnt puch through the Mahrez signing.
Spunking 18Mil on Perez.
Spunking 16Mil on Chambers
Wages for Ozil

I was a shareholder and constant supporter of Wenger when he got the job. Don't tell me I don't appreciate what Arsene has done for us.

But don't attribute qualities to Wenger that he didn't have. He was never a good technical director, the role he took on. It was Dein and Wenger partnership that brought us success. Not just Wenger.

We have spent 100s of millions on players after 2012. We had the 3rd highest wage bill in the premier league for years and went downhill on our scouting, approach to coaching to the point we have been handcuffed even now, 2 seasons after Wenger was fired.

Well could have fooled in this comment seems the opposite of appreciation, all you've done is highlighted the negatives. Last time I checked appreciation usually involves a positive word or two...🤷‍♂️

Because I can never forgive Wenger for not recognising the issues earlier. Gazidis, Fiszman and Kroenke all offered Wenger help at board level so that he would concentrate on coaching but he always refused. Even ppl he trusted in the past like Edelman and Hill-Wood suggested it. Which was immensely selfish. Even when Wenger turned the crowd hostile he wouldn't make changes. It took Kroenke to fire him. For someone as intelligent as Arsene Wenger who will always be legend for what he achieved as a coach, it will take years for me to get over his end at Arsenal. Maybe if Arteta can turn us around and start us back to where we should be I will forget the end. And btw we won a lot before Wenger came along so he was never bigger than the club.
