Quality of the forward players in taking their chances is where they beat us

We go on, we will get better. Enjoy it Liverpool while you still can.

Thought the ref had a good game today. Michael Oliver is probably the only competent one in the league.

A bit annoying how he blew the whistle 5 seconds before time though, when Traore had the chance to put the ball into a loaded box. Probably wouldn't have led to anything but still not cool.

Fabulous game with Wolves matching the best team in the country. Couldn't help thinking of the not so distant days when we were in the Championship and even League One. We have come a long way and further improvement looks on the card.

A game that could have gone either way but Liverpool found the deciding goal. How did Jota miss that late chance!

Scouse caaants, best team lost, we all know that. Fatso is correct, enjoy it while you can, you won’t win the next one

Good game, great atmosphere disappointing result. Thought we were slightly off it first half, obligatory goal to the opponent to get us going, then created some decent chances, Doherty's chance should have been put away, think he thought he was offside and var may have a agreed with him.

Second half though I thought we were the better side, lovely work by Adama and a great finish from Jimenez and then we had chances to win it and of course we were punished for our poor finishing and decision making. Neto had a great game and Traore was an absolute menace all over the pitch. So frustrating to go toe to toe with them twice and get nothing for it. But it shows we're not far off being a top 4 side. A bit more quality a few more options and just a little more consistency and we can match the best in the world.

You were unlucky there, Wolves were the better side, but like a lot of games this season, even when Liverpool aren't playing well they still get the win, they did the same against Watford.

A lot of games? And again we missed plenty of chances ourselves, if Salah wasnt being greedy af im sure we’d have. Again, yes we didnt play as well as we can and again we aren’t as ruthless as we could be infront of goal and instead rather wasteful, but again all the stats still show we did more than the opposition. More possession more corners double the shots on target 3 more total shots etc etc.

Credit to wolves though theyre a quality side, but we knew that. They did look knackered half way into the second half though, shows how much they had to put in even with Liverpool team looking like they had an off day by their own high standards.

No doubt in my mind that Traore and Jimenez now fall into the category of world class players, can we hold on to them. Boly soon to return and although Saiss has done well, Boly is our best defender and will make us stronger. Neves also playing really well now, and Jonny has been excellent in recent games. And Neto gets better every game. We can be proud of this team and manager and if we can keep them together and grow the squad in the market we will soon see champions league football at Molineux

Jiminez rarely makes the wrong choice, I would play Neto instead of Jota at the moment, crazy how we concede first so often

from the bbc sport match report -

Wolves manager Nuno Espirito Santo and his players understandably cut dejected figures at the final whistle, denied so late on as they pushed to become only the second team after Manchester United to take points off Liverpool this season.

When that disappointment subsides, they can look back with pride on a performance that produced further evidence of what has been rebuilt at this famous old club.

Wolves were organised, played without fear, and in Jimenez and Traore possess a huge threat to back up their many qualities elsewhere.

Traore's power and pace gave Andrew Robertson a very uncomfortable night while Jimenez has developed into a striker of the highest class.

It is all played out in Molineux's atmospheric arena, where the Wolves fans are revelling in what is being produced - and so they should.

Wolves can now regard themselves rightfully as a force in the Premier League. They are entertaining and superbly coached. This is a team that is here to stay in the upper reaches.

Big mid season break for Wolves to recharge the batteries now. Man Utd away on Feb 1st is their only game in 3 weeks before we have three home games in 8 days with Leicester on Valentines Day followed by Espanyol then Norwich

Wolves like their u23 team to set up the same way as the first team and they seem to follow that in the scores too. Last night against Leeds they conceded the first two goals then came back to draw. Ashley Seal and Cundle the scorers

A powder puff shot can be classed as an attempt, and having possession in your own half can also make the states look favourable.

Disastrous day for Torino yesterday. They lost 7-0 at home to Atalanta and had two players sent off late on

We have brought in 3 players for the future this month and it will be interesting to see if they play for the u23s at Molineux tonight. The game against Liverpool is in the Premier League International Cup and Wolves must win to qualify for the quarter finals in what is the U23s equivalent of the Champions League. I’ve decided to go to the game tonight and they are expecting a record crowd for a Wolves U23s match
