We’ve had them before though, ex Barca youth player who has just left you could say the same about.

It’s not that we shouldn’t be getting these players, it’s a time when we’re desperate for first team players who can hit the ground running and they should be proven.

Not remotely the same thing as Barcelona young players.

This guy might not work out. That is the risk you take on any transfers. Vurnon Anita was a proven PL player.

Give the lad a go and don't right him off before he's even been shown off holding the shirt.

How many wingers do we need?

Especially when we have ONE senior striker and an under 23 striker who Bielsa completely ignores for consideration in the first team squad.

He’s not replacing Clarke, we need players who can make a difference in the starting 11. Our form is shocking and we’re losing ground very fast

We were here last season.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
He is absolutely replacing Clarke though. That's unanimously agreed on by people in the know commenting on the signing. He's a young player we can use when we need to. He's not going to displace one of the multitude of wingers that we already have. It's not a position we need a big name acquisition in.

I’m not writing anyone off, but we shouldn’t expect he’s going to save our season like someone like Bowen might, proven goal scorer.

I really hope I’m putting up an article in a month praising the club for bringing him in.

Yeah we should sign Bowen for 20 million and Adams for 20 million and that's great! Overspending has never been an issue!

Bowen won’t go for 20m. His contract is up in the summer and why would be buy Adams for £20m? Madness

They have an extension on his contract, so I would say that is the figure that they will demand.

Bowen has a year extension which they will just trigger if he dosent go.

To be honest this is the perfect signing for some people.

If he fails then its orta who is at fault - I mean how dare he allow bielsa to choose his own player, he should have ben in charge of signings, what is he paid for yada yada yada.

If he succeeds - wow this proves all along we dont need Orta.

So either way you get to endlessly moan about how it's all proof that its ortas fault.

Which wont get boring and tedious at all...

Re Bowen, it's not for them to trigger, he needs to agree to it and at present, he is not and Hull report that they've had no enquiries.

Bielsa won't want Bowen. Bowen plays mainly on the wing - we have the starting wingers that Bielsa wants. Costa was the target he pushed for in the summer.

Clarke leaving has created a space in the squad of 17/18 first teamers, which Poveda will fill as the sub winger to be used from the bench like Clarke. Eddie leaving has created a space for a striker. That will be all that Bielsa wants - back up winger, another striker. Right or wrong, it's his way.

At this stage, I'd take a punt on Jermain Defoe.

How soon do we think Poveda will get a game? Will Bielsa hold him back until he's learnt BielsaBall, plus reached necessary fitness levels?

posted on 23/1/20

Matty gets it!!!

Moan about wages going up while moaning we ain’t spending enough on players.

Moan about never been ambitious with targets. As soon as we are moan about about targets being unrealistic.

Moan we won’t make play offs before season starts and then moan we only second half way through the season.

I think having played under a disciple of Bielsaball at Man City means Poveda will probably already have the fitness and be geared towards a high press in the way we play. Probably one of the attractive things about him as a signing.

So based on a three minute you tube video where all his appearances are at youth level, your basing your opinion on.

I just can’t take you serious, we could sign anyone and you would say it’s a great signing.

Not saying he isn’t brilliant and isn’t better than Clarke.

But there is zero to suggest this, one has been sold for £8m, one has been released
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Torino and Celtic both wanted him. His three or whatever minutes of video actually show what he’s capable of.

Bielsa wants him. He’s undoubtedly quick and direct.

Ok he’s not played for City’s first 11 but had Jack Harrison when we got him?

You know we had Spurs pants down yeah?

I’m not saying it’s a great signing at all. I think it’s a good one and I think he might just turn out a better bet then Clarke was coming off the bench. He speaks Spanish too

I thought Hull had the option to extend?

They do but I believe it requires Bowen’s agreement sbd he’s not agreeing to it, hence the stories surfacing.

Hearing that Poveda is not a free. We are paying a fee.

Thing is I’m sure Bielsa will have had him watched. It’s not one coming out of thin air.

Let’s hope he can make a difference off the bench. Something Clarke struggled to do this season.

People keep saying he’s replacing clarke who never played

There is was no injuries, if there is, he’s playing

posted on 23/1/20

And stop it with jack Harrison comparison

He’d played loads of pro football and it still took him 6 months to be decent

I find it funny when people argue about a player that Bielsa is looking at!..

Bielsa has more or less the same team he started of with when he came through the Elland Road door, so, if he thinks this kid is good enough, then so be it!..

Its Bielsa that does the talking around the playing staff, and if he's happy about this kid than let the kid prove Bielsa right or wrong!..

Why do people say Bielsa’s been watching him that is not how it works at Leeds.

Orta’s team scout, them Orta asks Bielsa and if given green light goes and gets him.

Firstly at this point in time Bielsa has more important things to address like fixing corner routine than looking at prospective U23s players.

Secondly, if true that Bielsa was asked to call him personally it calls into question Ortas credibility that him and his team are ineffective enough that they hsvevti get Bielsa to do it.

The whole point of a DOF is that it takes away the recruitment process from the coach so he can focus in coaching.

One could understand if it was to sign a player of the stature of Haaland but this like asking Bielsa to call Robbie gotts type player.

Desperation by club and I repeat again if this player goes into first team squad it is insane.

It feels like Orta is desperate to pick up a bargain to show Radz how shrewd he is in the market. Well he keeps trying to.
