Good article - as well as the money it's what attracts your potential transfer targets. A couple of years out of it and recruitment becomes much more challenging. This could be United or Arsenal's position this summer. I think Spurs have another year's grace however.

It took me quite a while to convince my Spurs-supporting mates that the threat of even a single year out of Europe was the only reason Pochettino had to walk.

The last thing Spurs need right now is a £30-50m shortfall in their revenues. The mortgage payments are due to start soon.

Our repayments are about £35m a season and our revenue gone up to about £350m.

£350m, of which about £61m was directly from UEFA as a result of your last CL campaign. Not to mention match-day incomes from CL nights, and any other commercial endeavours the club would undertake by being in the competition.

That's probably all your record 2019 profits swallowed up right there.

Then there's also the fact that your total wages have been artificially depressed over the years. This will probably shoot up once you begin rebuilding the squad.

You don't need me to tell you that everything adds up in the end. Arsenal are well on their way to an unprecedented second year of losses as a result of dropping out of the CL.

Basically made it possible for Spurs to afford stadium. Wenger did it as well at Arsenal.

We can easily absorb one season out of the champions league it’s if it carries on after that.

Last season we was paying a high rent on Wembley for half the season which the revenue from those games didn’t even cover.

The stadium revenue streams will help us a lot but a second or 3rd season out of CL will bite.

So we are guaranteed 33.75m euros from our CL campaign this year, even if we don`t go any further. Get past Leipzig and that increases to a guaranteed 44.25m

Massive sums of money Levy has it hooked to his blood supply and withdrawal will see him pass out
