Celtic 3 v 0 Ross County

Saturday showed the massive difference between Edouard and Griffiths and hopefully even the Griffiths apologists were able to see it.

Griff basically walks about in a marrginally off side position most of the time. Then he occasionally sprints into a definitely off side position.

Edouard comes on and you see the difference immediately. His movement is brilliant and it impacts all the other players too....especially the midfielders who have options.

Yip, Forrest, Ntcham and McGregor all played better when Edouard came on.

I watched our game yesterday. Defensively diabolical and as you said, lacking in intensity, movement and invention going forward.

You mentioned Deila, but this is also how we were with Lennon first time around and last season when he took over. He also spouts a load of p!sh. Bigging up players, then not even having them in the squad. We should try everything to keep Edouard longer, break the bank, albeit I don`t expect it to have any effect. He will want to test himself at a higher level.

When I saw the result form yesterday, all I could think of was that we are capable of losing points to these teams too. Plenty of twists and turns in the title race still to come.

Can’t argue with anything there.

Thought County played well to be honest and I think we do them a disservice by not acknowledging that. They came to have a go at us and were nearly rewarded.

As for us; we were a makeshift outfit and it showed in spades. Im so saying it ended up a comfortable 3-0 win. Can’t complain and you can see Lennon is trying to give Eddie a bit of time from a niggling toe injury which was the right thing to do.

Bottom line is we had to depend on him to put the game to bed which begged the question of why again leave our new striker on the bench?

Hayes? Surely to Christ he’s a third or fourth choice defender? And what does Taylor have to do to get a game? Something doesn’t add up there.

Btw...what about that banner at Tynecastle yesterday behind the goal ? Stirling Protestant Boys.....On a St George's flag. Absolute Roasters.

County played well in spells but we shouldn't allow them too, at one point we had every Celtic player in our own half whilst they knocked it about us

What about the Rangers kick off after Hearts 2nd goal

Remember after the Old Firm when everybody thought there was a title race.

As least 4 people called me stupid for suggesting otherwise

Rangers are bottlers, we are not. Therein lies the difference.

If you don’t think there’s a title race you’ve not been paying attention.

There is 100% still a title race. If Rangers win their game in hand it's 2 points.

If Celtic win all their games up to the OF game then i'll be more confident about it.

Forrest back to his anonymous worst.. send Lennon can't motivate him at all.

Ntcham is really gifted with his passing and vision, but I sometimes feel the game passes him by fire large spells when he plays the no. 10 role. That said, it's a good problem to have as he's in form.

Hayes..

Bauer...

Griffiths can't play the lone striker role.. he just isn't good enough for it. Doesn't have much of a presence, and his hold up play isn't good enough to pull it off.

Defence.. bit of a/total disaster right now. So open in the middle of the park, and out wide our fullbacks/wingbacks can be got at too easily.

A lot of work still to do if we wanna win this league.

The main positive is the mental side of our game. It's why Lennon keeps picking the same players over and over, players he trusts as they've been there and done it before. It's infuriating as a fan, especially when players are out of form, bit I understand his reasoning.

And if Rangers win that they go ahead by the 1 point.

I’m more confident after yesterday but it’s still nip and tuck.

We need Elyounoussi, El Hammed and Frimpong fit ASAP.

I don't expect any of them to play this week but one or two in the squad for Motherwell would be a boost.

Soro should also be in the squad for Sunday, not like he hasn't been playing football.

Good weekend

A few things to worry about

You just said all the things most of us think regarding Griffith's , Bauer ,Hayes
So why can't Lennon see this

Just how bad is Taylor and Boli? Do we need another left back ?? Ridiculous to think we got 25M for Tierney and we've spunked 4-5 on these two

I actually wish Griffith's would just fck off , hes offering nothing but frustrating shiete
Yes he scored a couple but you would hope any CF would in a team that dominates

Great to see KD get on the pitch , he doesn't lack confidence does he ?

Rangers result was brilliant and very unexpected , some nice saltiness kicking about afterwards

Rangers play RC on Wednesday and with Morelos back they'll win comfortably.

We just need to ensure we get the win at St Johnstone, they're in dire straits with their squad, lost their two biggest players in Kennedy and Davidson, latter to injury.

Not sure what nick their pitch will be in mind you with snow, rain and ice due the next 48 hours.

I have to disagree with this. Lennon has always been like this, it`s not new and not imo based on trusting players that have won 8 in a row. Was the same first time around. He has options, but he sticks with his favourites. That`s one of the reasons Hayes is playing left back instead of a left back there.

posted on 27/1/20

Because his favourite obviously have the bottle to win games despite how poorly they're possibly playing

Had a couple of predictions that came true

Played sheight and won, but we need to keep our formations the same for a few games and if we play one up make it our best striker eh?

Predictions fae last week

I cannot believe Boyd gets a gig with Sky, he is so inarticulate and it is embarrassing. Just a mouthpiece for Rangers, at least Sutton can give Celtic pelters when required.

How good was Eddy by the way! Four players round him at one point and he gets the pass away. The goal was class, ok he got the break of the ball but a great turn and finish.

Shout out to Griffiths, he does himself harm at times with his antics but he is getting back to where he should be which could help us and Scotland.

Rangers struggled and can see them dropping points on Sunday. Bravado shelved for a while at least i guess.

Wee Dembele or Klimala should have been on at 75 minutes, not bloody 85!

And btw , you would be absolutely daft to deny any title challenge
This is anybody's

We are an Edouard injury away from a disaster really

And I think Morelos showed how costly him being out the team is

posted on 27/1/20

Also we should take note on how Hearts pressed Rangers and were up for the battle something Celtic lacked in December against them I hope Lennon was watching.

Couple injuries shows how weak Rangers bench is also.

Aye no Morelos - no title.

No Edouard - no title.
