If the Chinese didn't eat literally everything that crosses their path, this wouldn't have happened.
Eating raw snakes and drinking their blood.
Putting whole dead bats in their soups.
Shark fin soup, has NO flavour so they add chicken broth.
Eating Koala, despite half the species being wiped out in Australia.
Driving the Ivory trade.
It needs to stop. If the death count reaches the 100s of thousands, maybe they'll fackin stop eating and killing everything that moves

They believed it was contracted from Snakes?
They are saying that there are cases in Thailand, US and Australia now and that people can have/spread it before symptons are felt. Must be terrifying for those that have it.

I'd rather get eaten.
I believe more people died of just normal flu in America last year and that wasn't treated as a pandemic. I suspect this is a swine/avian flu over reactionary response. We're not even talking about it affecting 5% of the population so not sure what the panic is about I I'm honest.

I am fiercely right wing so am keen to know whether I am for or against the virus, whether it is just snowflakes being snowflakes or whether it's an excuse for us to close the border and keep foreigners out.
Any assistance would be appreciated.

Speaking of which, with the combination of the Lunar new year and Burns night over the last few days, I was invited along to a Chinese Burns night this weekend.
I didn't want to go but they twisted my arm.
there seems to be a lot more fear mongering these days than a decade ago.
It`s scaremongering again. Lots of elderly people will die of normal flu in the UK this year. Probably hundreds, so why is this Chinese flu any different to the norm?
My free flu jab should see me through, at least until after the City game.

Would you be saying that if a member of your family gets it?
Its a new virus so the uncertainty of it is bringing in some panic and perhaps overreaction.
I suspect that if you are otherwise healthy and contract the virus then you will be fine, with complications only arising if you have any underlying conditions such as being immunocompromised.
Interesting that I saw BBC News last night and they reported that the Chinese State had taken films of medical workers dealing with it in state of the art isolation facilities. Eyewitness accounts however had filmed massive overcrowding in hospitals, people lying on makeshift beds in corridors etc. Those conditions won't do any help in containing the spread.
And can we dial back the racism towards the Chinese please.
