If you're looking for omens, the last time we signed a French striker in the New Year, he provided the springboard to the 1st Division title in 1992. Lightning to strike twice?
I've only seen the Youtube clips but he reminds me of Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink but younger, quicker and slicker. Seems to have the required front for a striker and doesn't mind having a go from distance. He's a bit bigger than Roofe and will hopefully prove more "efficient" than Bamford in front of goal. I hope he features sooner rather than later.

They will have been scouting the player since last season. And will have had contact regarding his availability early on. It's clear that the club had him and probably another lined up as back ups if Adams wasn't going to happen.

My guess is they were trying to do business without the whole world knowing - bit of a fail as I saw media links to us and JKA for days prior.
If we get promoted there'll be no money left for new players the way these deals are being done!..

We never had directors rolled out in front of the press back in the day, not sure we need to do it now. More so given some of the tripe they come out with.
As ever, results on the pitch coupled with no financial/point penalties tells me we are moving in the right direction.
20 goals in 67 for Leipzig in the Bundesliga. That is some pedigree. Just hope and pray there is no underlying physical or mental health issue, but on paper, this could be a game changer for us.
I think Bamford will benefit massively from Augustin's arrival.
