I've been really critical of the owners & their dithering with transfers, but credit where it's due. They didn't mess about getting this player in. No last day sweating this time round. If we sign anyone else now it's a bonus. Well done to all concerned. Let's hope he tears up the Championship 😊

Well done to all concerned in getting this deal done. I hope Bielsa can find something in the land to give us a spark up front. Now time to give the lads encouragement and fierce backing on the pitch and do everything that we can do to help get us over the line in May.

He might find something in the lad as well as the land

If you're looking for omens, the last time we signed a French striker in the New Year, he provided the springboard to the 1st Division title in 1992. Lightning to strike twice?

I've only seen the Youtube clips but he reminds me of Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink but younger, quicker and slicker. Seems to have the required front for a striker and doesn't mind having a go from distance. He's a bit bigger than Roofe and will hopefully prove more "efficient" than Bamford in front of goal. I hope he features sooner rather than later.

Really wasn't expecting this completed today, sounded like a complicated deal. Well done to the club - went for the first choice, deal died, so got someone else in.

On paper, an exciting signing. We have 18 games left, he'll be available for 17 of them. Presumably will start on the bench at least at the beginning. Even if he grabs 5 goals or so in that time, it's enough. Wouldn't be surprised to see Bamford grab a goal tomorrow now.

psg, Monaco and RB leipzing are clubs most football players, even in the Prem will never have on their CV. Has to have that something.

Club denied to the press that they were signing Augustin, despite all French knowing, even as late as yesterday denying it.

AR at TA today, BBC asked for chance to speak to him, club said no.

Under 19 Euro tournament, he got the golden boot and player of the tournament. Honestly, Wigan and Forest are no match for him

As far as cvs go, its on paper too good for this division. The lad Poveda TURNED DOWN a contract offer from City and turned down Torino and the chance to play in the same league as Ronaldo et al

They will have been scouting the player since last season. And will have had contact regarding his availability early on. It's clear that the club had him and probably another lined up as back ups if Adams wasn't going to happen.

My guess is they were trying to do business without the whole world knowing - bit of a fail as I saw media links to us and JKA for days prior.

If we get promoted there'll be no money left for new players the way these deals are being done!..

Hopefully whoever we bring in they're good enough to take the next level on!..

Never been a fan of having every twist and turn played out in front of the media. Deal has been completed.

We never had directors rolled out in front of the press back in the day, not sure we need to do it now. More so given some of the tripe they come out with.

As ever, results on the pitch coupled with no financial/point penalties tells me we are moving in the right direction.

20 goals in 67 for Leipzig in the Bundesliga. That is some pedigree. Just hope and pray there is no underlying physical or mental health issue, but on paper, this could be a game changer for us.

I think Bamford will benefit massively from Augustin's arrival.

Agree Stevie..

I might finally get my Bamford brace prediction correct soon 👍

Some around here'll be hoping he's our future bench warmer!..
