The remit for me was -
upgrade on Clarke
upgrade on nketiah
remains to be seen
I think that's a really good and fair summary, including thoughts about tomorrow nights game.
I've really not watched or have any knowledge of any of the players signed, i'm largely trusting that the club know what they're doing.
It's covered the areas primarily required, anything between now and the close of the window, would be a bonus.
Fulham and the other championship sides didn't under recruit. We are short for a reason. Still think a centre midfielder like Brownhill would be ideal, possibly a centre back for Cooper cover.
Is Berardi back tomorrow??
Do we need an upgrade on Nketiah? Eddie and Bamford were enough to get us to 52 points. Eddie's goals from the bench won us 7 points.
I don't think we needed an upgrade on Eddie per se …. we just needed to have someone in and around the club who could replace Bamford when required - whether that be injury, dip in form or just plain old being able to.
Still hoping something happens with respect to midfield, especially if KP has going back to picking up cards due to frustration and tiring legs due to giving 100% up to now.
What a wonderful feeling for a change to have all our transfer business completed with days to spare before the end of the window.
Let's hope that the players all make a positive contribution to the first team's fortunes, especially Poveda & JKA.
Really well done to the owners, but perhaps in future Kinnear should keep his north and south shut regarding doing all the transfer business early. It just fanned the flames of frustration when nothing happened for 3 weeks.
Done well. Augustin will be at minimum our bench striker and likely to play regularly. Poveda May push Costa and Harrison to new heights
I obviously don't know how good Augustin is. No one on here does. But what is obvious that he was one of many impressive targets. The strikers we were after were not players that would happily sit on the bench in the Championship. They were targets to improve on Bamford. I wasn't expecting that and pleasantly surprised. It may be the lift Bamford needs as well.
Mike, always remains to be seen with every transfer. Every transfer is a risk. And Howard Wilkinson reckons that if you can get 5 out of 10 to be a success you are doing exceptionally well.
Shaun, reason why we have under recruited is Bielsa. It's the squad size he wants. I wish he would like a bigger squad but its a circle you cannot square. You either have Bielsa or you don't. And for all Bielsa's faults. Which he has a few. I can't think of anyone we have a better chance of promotion with. So I just got to get on with it.
Back to exactly where we were at the start of the season.
Remains to be seen if we have enough players, personally think we’re still a CB short at least.
weirdly.. I have this strange feeling we're not done yet..
I think they'll be drama on deadline day.. just got a strange feeling.
I'm just glad we have our business done before deadline day.
don't see how we could afford another player unless it was for under 23s

spot on.... i think we are a proven striker and or a no.10 short
A CB, even if its a youngster on loan, would be useful if Cooper gets injured. A CM is needed as we currently only have Klich available with Shackleton as a rookie option.
I would like to see us sign Freeman or Rinhamota & the young French centre half. I would offer £2mill to loan Freeman for the rest of the season. Given the reports Bout the French centre half he sounds like ideal cover.
But this is not how Bielsa work so wont happen whether the owner/Orta are prepared to or not.
I hope Bielsa relaxes his stance if we go up
Not sure how pleased any of us can be with signing three guys none of us have heard of. One of whom, if the f does its job properly will not get anywhere near our first team. Thedonn will be so happy.
According t Yorkshire Post we're sniffing round a guy called Mukoudi (?) from St Etienne, Cameroon international defender
The club has delivered albeit three untested players but ones with plenty of potential. Irrespective of what some might say, Harrison was an unknown to many before the links to Leeds surfaced.
Difficult window but we have bums on seats that should give us some room for optimism. We've had plenty of known players arrive who have been shi ite.
I have to say, I had real concerns at the start of January and the club not signing anyone. Boy I am delighted to be wrong and see they signed 3 players. I think the management have done well in this window.
Hopefully now we can March on to bigger and better things. COYL.
We’re basically back to where we were at the start of December, and we needed more players then.
Fingers crossed we get some luck with injuries.

If you hand theses of Augustin then you haven't been following European football. Guy has been highly thought of for years. I also knew of Poveda prior to him being linked.
People seem to state JKA’a lack of starts at club level but he’s been behind Zlatan & Cavani, Werner and lately Ben Yedder.
These are among the best strikers in Europe and he still managed plenty of playing time....I’ll admit I wasn’t totally clued up on him but he must and looks like he’s got something special.
3 years ago he was top scorer and player of the tournament for France playing alongside a certain Mbappe.
It’s exciting.
Just get a feeling he's going to be a right player for us, pace, strength and quality movement. He'll tear this league up once he gets going.
