My fave video from them is The day that never comes. Really blends well with the song.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I remember buying the 2 of 1 video on BHS
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Growing up we were lucky enough to have MTV and Headbangers Ball was THE show to watch
Had all the 80s/90s classic metal videos
They just never done it for me. Mid 80s it was thrash and british metal for me. Metallica just never clicked.
Tried listening to MOP a couple of weeks ago and found it to be so plodding and bloated Technically great, very well produced, but I couldn't find a way into it.
Who's up for starting a Jametallica tribute band? I'm on drums.

Justice would be close if It had more bass
----------------------------------------------------------------------
You know the story too?
Death magnetic has some great tracks
Judas kiss is brilliant
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I'm a former bassist and was obsessed with them when I first got into rock and metal music.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
But I assume you know the rumor that after justice was recorded James and Lars had the bass turned right down
Newsted was treated appallingly

I might have joked about Lulu but I thought the performance of The View by Reed and Metallica on Jools Holland back in the day was facking awesome.

So good. Wanted to see them at Twickenham. Will deffo see them in Oz later this year
Metallica is probably their most musically accomplished album, but my favourite is, and always has been, Kill ‘em All
I’m not a massive Metallica fan but acknowledge they are a great band. I’d probably put Nothing Else matters in my top 5 all time favourite songs

BLACK ALBUM
Where’s Sizzle! This is racist
The black album is too mainstream. Only those lesser beings that aren't actually true Metallica fans like the black album the most. Don't reply to their comments as they're not quite on our level.
Puppets is the best, no question. I'd argue it's the single greatest metal album of all time.
Justice is a close second. Got a huge soft spot for it. At times I've preferred it to Puppets for the sheer musicianship but I recognise it has weaker points than Puppets which is just grade A from start to finish.
Seen Metallica 4 times now. Fave band. Spent my youth learning every song I could figure out. Every guitar I've ever owned has been an Explorer. Hetfield is the king.

Not even the best thrash album.
Not even the best thrash album released that year.

Master of puppets I'm pulling your strings...
I mean...clearly the correct answer is Puppets.
I'm particularly pleased that this article only acknowledges the albums up until they transitioned into 'cringey Dad Rock' status.
