Only way I'd be happy with Ighalo signing is if he comes straight from China and coughs in Pereira and Lingard's mouths.

Aren’t Spurs also looking at Ighalo? Surely a tricky signing given the amount of time left and the fact he’s in China right now?
Happier with it it than Slimani or King.
Even better that it is only a loan. Would have liked to have seen us in for Hulk/Pelle instead. Missed out on Carrasco as well.
Regardless of whatever diseases are going around, I’m not sure signing players from the Chinese League is a clever option. Not unless his goals per game average is 2 in 1 over there.

One of the sides has Hulk, Oscar and Arnautovic in their attack. Better than ours atm.

Odion Ighalo! On a serious side is this the best we can fecking do!?
This Odion fella, hardly a blockbuster signing
This could be the worst signing of all time. You aren't 2015 Watford

Very good.
Stealing some earlier puns from the bbc live text about a penguin XI...
Are the Glacier family finally getting their Ighalo in order
Arnautovic would be a much better shout. anyway as long as it' a loan it's fine. Need to be in for Jiminez in the summer.

You've spelled Werner very poorly there.
Underwhelming signing but it’s only for 6 months as cover. I don’t mind.
Six month loan, comes in every now and then, yeah, okay *shrugs*
We need bodies and if it's a loan deal I don't see much of a problem. Perhaps he sees it as an opportunity to put himself in the shop window to get another European club who knows.
It is funny though reading some comments as I'm sure the Twitter generation would have lost their s*** at SAF's attempt to buy Mick Harford in the 1992 run in!
He were a handful when he was in the Prem
It's an Ole signing for me.
Not surprised, but I'm below being whelmed
If there’s no one available that we’d buy to stick in the first XI then it’s not that bad a deal for a backup striker.
I’d hope Greenwood remains ahead of him if he does come in, with him providing an alternative option, to play a different style perhaps should we be looking for a goal in the last half an hour of a game.
PL experience, decent scoring record at Watford I recall. Know nothing about what he’s done since
As a loan deal... seems ok
He was good for 6 months and a lot of Arsenal fans on here were furiously master baiting over him, then his form fell off a cliff.

I think so too. He'll offer something different and allow us to rest our other forwards. We may also get some more goals from the wastes crosses that go in at times and no one attacks them!
Yiu never know. He may also have ambitions to stay past his loan and if he produces the goods then it's all good.
What this move does smack of though is that we do only deal with one transfer at once. Not good if that's the case.
Manchester United are in talks with Odion Ighalo’s agents. Not easy deal from Chinese club, with an high salary and with just some hours before the deadline... but #MUFC are trying.

Looks like there’s legs to this, apparently on 300k a week as well. Right up Ed’s street.
