In an era of interdependency we are becoming more independent. History will never judge the UK as bad as we have just become.

We've just become significantly weaker in the world. We'll be drawn into either the US or European regulatory sphere with no influence in shaping either and with greater barriers to both markets than we've had up ro this point.

Many of the leading Brexiteers have always known this and saw Brexit as a means to the end of radical deregulation that will only benefit the super-rich.

Honestly breaks your heart, hopefully when the Tories eventually muck it all up in the coming years we can campaign to rejoin again.

Totally. And I fear the worst is to come. The Tories are setting themselves up for a no-deal outcome to the trade negotiations. In addition, Johnson is making counterfactual statements about the implications of his deal on the Irish border, tensions around which will be exacerbated the harder the Brexit. A harder border in the Irish Sea or between North and South will be very problematic for one community or the other.

Oh dear

Stop being such babies. It's over and done.

The sun will still rise in east and set in the west.
You're still going to get up tomorrow and watch football, rugby, whatever...
You'll still have a job come Monday.

The world is not ending.
No need to keep crying.

Great stuff, even more power has just been handed to the caants responsible for decimating the quality of life of millions of people

The British public were right to be angry, sadly they directed that anger in the wrong direction - as the reality of that sets in it's going to get very ugly (for whoever/whatever is next incorrectly blamed)

David Davis said we would have the substance of the future trade deal ready for signing immediately after we have exited the EU. Looking forward to seeing that in the coming days.

i am embarrassed for these classless Brexiteers celebrating tonight who can't see how a lesser form of Great Britain/UK will eventually will fare in the New World order we are facing. Difficult trade negotiation will now replace the Brexit news.

I fear for our children's legacy of been British which for people of my generation was like wining a postcode lottery of life.

Grow the feck up.

So many idiots on here who act like they can predict the future. You're all the same bozos who said the world was going to end when Trump became President.

Guess what? You were wrong. Just like you will probably be wrong on Brexit too.

There'll be a scramble amongst the identity politicos to re-brand Remainers and Leavers to keep us at each other's throats.

Do Leavers now become Remainers, and Remainers become Joiners?
