Interesting reply Vidal. I count as successes, the fact that we were able to sell on at moderate cost or even gain. Of course it was my thinking about Rooney, Martin, Holmes all in the same breath and going on to Anya, Butterfield Blackman etc.
Made me wonder to what extent our financial difficulties are due to recent poor transfers? And then - are other clubs as bad as we are?
I can only think of Manchester United, West Ham and Aston Villa who have wasted more money than us Ramdini.
Good day today, weather good reflecting our wonderful win and to cap it off, Leeds and Forest lost. Ha ha.
64 mins. Ire 16 - 9 Sco 🏴
If your kicker could kick you would have won, they weren’t difficult kicks either. Not to mention Hogg dropping the ball when through for a try. Still you look better than last year, what is the score with Finn Russell? Did he get very drunk?
Strange game all-round. Russell can't have covered himself in glory, thank goodness we don't tolerate that sort of behaviour at Derby.
Otherwise, fancy your chances at regaining the Calcutta Cup next weekend?
I think Hogg thought he was playing American football and was spiking the ball after a touchdown.
Not sure what spiking a ball is but will certainly give it a go........ 🌿
That was irresponsible and a bad example to our younger subscribers. Stay healthy kids and be the best you!

Thanks for that Heb. You've no idea how much that has cheered me up and pointed out the value of positivity. Well done Peat and Diesel. It's a softer and less in touch life down here in Pride Park land.
Has anyone noticed our Will Hughes is not fully engaged in Watford these days. Did we all over-estimate his potential when he was at PP?

Ramdini, Will has just got back from an injury and was on the bench yesterday.
I don't think he has ever properly recovered from his injury and Loony isn't the sort of manager to get the best out of him. In fact he has been playing in a defensive midfield position, when we all know he is better further forward.
I loved Will and was mortified when he left us, but I am now wondering if we did over estimate him. He is a lovely passer of the ball, just think of that pass to Bent, but he isn't fast, isn't a good header, isn't a good tackler and doesn't get enough goals. He looks a bit lightweight and probably is too nice.
However as the great Sir Brian said.....it isn't what you can't do, it is what you can do. I'd love him back at Derby and I think Cocu is the sort of manager who would get the best out of him.
Ex player news.
Thorne came on for the last 5 minutes at Oxford and is still alive.
Butterball hasn't appeared in Luton's squad for a while.
Johnson was a sub for Blackburn, unused I think.
Camp saved a penalty for Brum!
Please add to the list, my dinner is ready!
Would a midfield with both Hughes and Rooney work?
I too loved Hughes when he played for us. I don’t think he has been well served by the managers he has played for since Clough and McLaren. I also whether there might be a tiny bit of disillusionment on his part with how his career has gone. He seemed destined to get promoted with us and then go on to much higher things. Instead he is in an ordinary team, playing out of position and for a lunatic manager. His stock as a player has fallen and I don’t know if he would attract much Premiership interest. It would be fabulous to have him back. Intelligent players with ability combine well together and he and Rooney would be perfect. Can’t see it happening though.

It'd be absolutely delicious at Championship level.

With Bird, Knight, Sibley as midfield options too.
