If only they did their job, we'd have been playing 10 men for 80 mins.
Last season City were 9 ponts clear of Liverpool on the xg table. This season you would probably expect the gap to be down to single digits.
It’s a crazy scenario and at this point the lack of leadership and game awareness is killing City.
They do kinda miss Kompany.

City 45 shots 2 goals

In watching today's game I find myself reflecting upon how much more time, money and effort are City going to invest in Sterling? Yes, I know he has scored a lot of goals (many were simple tap ins), but he was totally useless today. He was unable to put the Spurs defense under any pressure and his ball handling skills have deteriorated considerably.
Also, although City were down to ten men and probably discouraged, their pattern of play in the last 10 minutes seemed to lack much passion and energy. The looked very like Arsenal!

What you should do is read the laws of the game and try to remember them.
A shoulder to shoulder charge can only be made legally when a player is within playing distance of the ball. HAVE YOU GOT THAT?
As he was not within playing distance of the ball it becomes a foul ARE YOU STILL FOLLOWING ME?
As it was a deliberate foul to break up a breakaway attack it becomes a yellow card offence ARE YOU STILL MANAGING TO KEEP UP?
Now as he had already been booked it now becomes a send off offence. I ASSUME EVEN YOU KNOW THAT MUCH?
So he duly got a red card for his "deliberate" yes "DELIBERATE" foul.
Is that education enough for you or should I use shorter words to make it even easier for you to understand?
