I dare say there were prob some idiots in the crowd who shouted some racist abuse. No more or less than would do the same at Ibrox or any other ground in this country. if 10000 people are shouting abuse and 4/5 of them are racist comments then that crowd is not shouting racist abuse. just the phannies that live in all areas of society

Like I said earlier, I mainly blame the referees for that. The inconsistency means that the line isn't clear and players who are close to the line have problems.
He's definitely a dirty wee bassa though.

The thing is tho he is a forward player doing what many many other defensive players have done throughout the history of the game. Some players are more technical some are more physical.

His game involves him walking the line, he uses his physical game to the best at times however when on that line sometimes you will cross it.

Deep down you will admit that every clubs fans love that in a player, a player that will give everything for the cause, will not be bullied and show the fans he is here for the fight.

When said player doesnt cross the line, we love it, we call it passion, hunger desire. When they cross the line and get punished we get frustrated but almost accept it knowing that most of the time the good outweighs the bad.

Just because something is factual, it doesn't mean it's not offensive.
If you call someone a 'black bassa' (sorry) and they are actually black and a bassa, that doesn't mean it's not racist or offensive.

Its a toughie i agree firnly with what you say context is 100% the issue here, but how do you prove context. You also have the issue of people loving to complain.

For phaki to me isnt racist but in society we cannot describe someone this way. Its an abbreviation FFS, no different to Scot, Ozzy, yank etc. But then again I am only using the word to describe a person from Pakistan

Back in the day used to love dealing with our tiny office in Oz as despite being a US company they were distant physically, mentally and chronologically (not time zone) from the latest business evolutions and would f and c all over the place, talk about the Sheilas, p**fs & getting wasted - a lot more akin to Scottish 'culture'. They still are a very blunt, non-PC nation but the World continues to shrink.

Morelos is a wee ar$ehole who absolutely brings abuse on himself.

Similar things have been said about Griff, Ferguson, Lennon, Diouf, Boruc, Novo & Brown over the years and many other players across the world have a knack for winding up opposition fans.

I really don't have a big problem with it, I think most of these guys thrive on it, that is until the abuse turns to violence or reaches a certain level, like the stuff with Scott Brown's sister or the bullets in the post for Lennon, racist abuse is obviously bang out of order too.

Celtic have a lot of fans so there's bound to be a certain % with racist views and I know we have had incidents in the past although I have never personally witnessed any in my 25 years of going to watch Celtic, coz I think any fan with that mindset knows fine well they would get slabbered by the surrounding supporters, I'm not trying to claim we are angels but we have certain collective identity as Celtic fans and racism is a big no no.

To me this Morelos situation is a PR exercise gone wrong, I'm certain his agent and or Rangers have released this dubiously subtitled interview as a counter measure to all the negative publicity that yes he has brought on himself that seems to be putting of potential suitors, and that's to be expected until what he said in the interview is sinisterly misrepresented in order to slander Celtic without a shred of evidence.

This move is typical of the people who have been running Rangers since your original demise, the them against us victim mentality designed to keep the fans anger pointing outward rather than inward.
