Fulham keeper had a nightmare against Barnsley. Worse than Kiko!
In average season to get auto promo 2.0 pts per game usually does the trick. This season is running behind that average indicating a tough season that is closely fought. 3rd and 4th spot are running at just over 1.6 per game.
For Brentford and Forest to get to that 82 - 83 pt target would need 27/28 pts from 13 games. A big ask.
Fulham need 26/27. WBA need just 19/20 which is just 1.5 pts ave over 13 games.
For Leeds 23/24 from 13 means as far as I can see 7 wins for 21pts, would do it plus bits OR cutting it very close 6 wins for 18pts plus 5 draws.
I can see 6 "easy" home wins and hopefully 1 away.
Here's hoping.

If GD ends up being the same, is it goals scored then head to head, or t’other way round?

think it's goals scored but tbh i don't care if we finish 1st or 2nd, as long as we go up automatically.
I am beginning to get a bit confident now that we could do it this season. But we are Leeds and so await the next few games with the usual "what if" problem.
Let us hope the dreaded Coronavirus does not start to play havoc with football fixtures and leagues anytime in the next 8 weeks.
There are enough winnable fixtures in there for us. I know football doesn't work like that, but if we need around 6 wins, with Hull, Huddersfield, Luton, Stoke, Barnsley, Charlton, Derby to play we have a great chance. Swansea, Blackburn and Cardiff away are tough fixtures as is Fulham at home but enough there to win.
No away fixtures down south - that's good news - but Cardiff and Swansea away will be tough. Fulham and Charlton will pose problems at home but otherwise, I am in tune with the spirit of cautious optimism in evidence on this thread...
Don't count chickens yet, last season after 35 games we were top of the league and look what happened !

Not counting chickens but we are in a much better position this season. Then we were 3 points ahead but Sheff Utd had a game in hand and a better goal difference. We still had West Brom, Sheff Utd, Villa, Brentford away to play.
Now we are 5 points clear, better goal difference and more favourable run of fixtures

Why Charlton? Seem pretty poor to me. Apart from Luton at home, I'd say Charlton is the 2nd easiest fixture left.

Better get an extra large can of WD40 for that squeaky bum, people.
Sir Kenneth:
at home 13 6 3 4 17 : 12
Away 14 6 1 7 16 : 21
27 12 4 11 33 : 33
12 wins v 11 losses over the last 27 - although our record certainly seems a bit better at home.

40 points from those 27 games ? gives around 1.5pts per game. Even with similar average over the last 11 would give us a possible 17 and total of 82 which is my estimate for just squeaking auto promo.
But we will do a lot better than that wont we?

h2h doesn't concern me too much!
Hopefully by the Charlton game it'll be done anyway. 6 more wins would probably do it, we could get 2 of those in the next week against Hull and Hudd.
Really enjoying reading these updates, Dave
the only games that worry me now are the 2 games in wales & direby, hope it will be done before but it would be nice to seal autos against direby
Leeds could not wish for meeting 3 of the current bottom teams at HOME ! in the run in to this years promotion,
A lot of fans are looking at the "mathematical" time when we get promoted but I cannot see past the current points and fixtures we have to come. Just one more step !
