Personally I think Goldson could do with reminding that he is droppable. I think Katic is Rangers best cb. I know that Goldson is Gerrards boy, but he knows it too. Most of the time he's good but he has never been reprimanded for a poor performance whereas katic is always done for his.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Katic always seems to be one small mistake away from being dropped.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Exactly. I think it's clear the manager for whatever reason isn't as into him as the support are.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Katic is too raw.
Goldson is our leader in defence. He organises everyone, and again tonight clear he was the one getting the players going.
His passing was great tonight too, his distribution had been the point he always fell down on. Been immense for us for a number of months now.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
And he's also been immune to criticism too. I'd have goldson and Katic as my first choice. But goldson for me is a player that despite form and he's been poor in the past never fell out of the lineup due to it.

I used to agree with that, last season I was having a go at Gerrard for dropping Katic and morning about Goldson. But think Goldson is the best leader we have on the park, and he’s brilliant for the majority of this season. Think there’s very very little you could criticise Goldson for this season.

Interestingly - the last 2 teams to take points off Rangers have subsequently done cack in their next game.
You could almost say - they raise their game when playing us
Nothing new then. If I was an Aberdeen or Hearts fan then you would be snapped as to why they can only up their game when playing us.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Is this like rangers beating Celtic in December? That kind of thing?
As I said other day, it's probably more to do with being able to raise game when you're not expected to than delivering when you are. Rangers are to blame for not winning against Hearts and Aberdeen.

It’s the difference between good players and great players. Good managers and great managers.
Great players have a higher level of consistency. Good players only achieve their potential on occasions. Happens in all walks of life.
I'd like to disagree with you but I don't.
Got a couple cans and an intention to see if I can get tomorrow off at short notice. I'll be sick otherwise I think.

3 points...aye.
The criticism of Goldson always baffles me. He’s tasked with bringing the ball down and playing out from the back. There’s not many cbs about that can do that plus defend that you will get for £3m.
Katic has great attributes but has a long way to go. He was awful against Aberdeen on Saturday and nearly sold the jerseys twice.
I like Katic but he deserved to be dropped last night.

I don't think it was a foul on McGregor, it was just a piece of terrible goalkeeping. He doesn't do it often so i'll let him off.
We need to go on a run again to stay in this and for the first time since the break we saw the team that had been playing so well before it in the second half.
The decision to drop Katic for Edmundson looks a good one, Niko's form since the break has been poor and Big George gets us back into it with the half volley. He keeps his place going forward for now.
I'm actually looking forward to the Hamilton game after dreading last night. Hopefully the spark is back.
What pleased me most was Gerrard for the first time I can remember mixed it up, and gave Hagi freedom to attack from midfield.
The flat midfield 3 has worked wonders in big games but it simply hasn’t worked at times against teams that are happy to defend.
Agreed, 4-3-3 has failed us to many times v teams that camp in.
He was probably waiting for a true no10 before going 4-2-3-1 but that's the forward v the teams that sit in. Hope to see the same again v Hamilton.
