Flucked up the transfer window.

For a 5th window running. Can't remember the last good one.

Potentially we've signed three great players for the future so I think it's premature to write off the activity here and now. January's a difficult window as we saw with our unsuccessful attempts in bringing in more experienced players from the Premier League.

Bielsa is meticulous in his analysis of players and teams. He's lauded for being so.

Orta heads up recruitment and brings in the options based on Bielsa's wish list. Bielsa has the final nod before it falls upon the entire management team to confirm the target is in budget and then negotiate.

The press is intimating that Orta got Augustin wrong. I disagree. The entire management team had their grubby mitts on this one.

We have a celebrated medical and fitness team. Augustin will have undergone a strenuous medical. Every element of his fitness will have been heavily scrutinised. Those results will have been shared with the money men and Bielsa.

This is what really astounds me. The big man has knowingly recruited a player unfit for duty. Don't know enough about his potential but seemingly he could be good.

What we need, however, are options for now. And there aren't any. This should been done in the Summer. Small squads, multi-faceted players are the mantra of Bielsa. It's this philosophy that's costing us. Just as it cost us last season.

Add in the predictable game plan and you do wonder how we'll turn this season around.

Tomorrow is a huge game. I sincerely the genius has something up his sleeve to truly astound us and get Leeds United back on track.

Stevie we are a hairs breath from this being a crisis, against Millwall, Bamford looked dispirited and shot, but imagine him getting injured or breaking down in some way. I would hope that Bielsa is preparing the likes of Harrison to step up. Roberts hasn't scored for a long time and looks fragile.
Will be very surprised if we get a point from the next three games. Pretty sure they've blown it.

All for the future, but the present is more important and the present has to come first. Id rather we bin the entire u23 set up and poured all effort and resources into the first team like Brentford and Sheffield Utd do. Nobody talks about Liverpool U23's or Man City U23's.

Whoever we got had to be:

a) A potential improvement on the squad players.
b) A loan (due to lack of cash or FFP if you believe the spiel).

Adams would have been a good call and good fit, but it wasn't to be, so we've had to go for a player who hasn't played much football in the last year.

I'll be surprised if we see JKA play before April as he's so far behind the rest of the squad.

If we can keep our position until then, we might be getting a good option in him for the run-in.

Not sure we should be relying on him but Roberts played two games as the lone striker last season and scored three goals,

Tyler rarely starts and has been very fragile this year, he has scored one goal in 11 appearances this season. Not sure he is at the right team to be honest.
One of those players that we all want to do well but is he good enough, I have seen nothing in him that makes him stand out.
Mistake of a signing.

You’ve seen nothing in Tyler Roberts?

Strange

Actually people do. They beat Sheffield and progressed in the FA Cup.

Signing players for the future ?, what future ?. The future should be getting into the Premiership next season, that's the future in question. We always seem to be signing for the future, but what about the here and now ?. It seems to me that all this talk about "a player for the future" is because they have no answers for the here and now problems, and even if they get promoted those problems will persist in any league until they wise up bigtime. Can we be the only club to have been in the top two for most of the season to miss out on promotion for the second season running. Once was enough, but twice shows something is drastically wrong. Hope to god to be wrong this time, but until those goals start to come, I'm very worried.

Scored four goals in two years, perpetually runs into trouble when he has the ball, spent more time on the treatment table than on the pitch.
I think there's a tendency with most football supporters to think the players in the squad are better than they actually are. There are certainly a number in our squad that are in that category, Roberts, Douglas, Shackleton to name but three.

Thought we looked much better with Roberts on the pitch against Wigan tbh.

Still need to plan whatever level. Equally there is the here and now.....

Tell you what, how about we see how Augustin performs for the first team before drawing any conclusions?

And then you look at likes of Mitrovic and Watkins starting to fire at the business end of the season and it shows what good centre forwards look like.
