Very good thread apart from the petty snipers. I would love it if we were able to slip under the radar like Forest, but the fact is irrefutable, everyone wants to play Leeds, beat Leeds, hate Leeds, unless they are Leeds. This current Leeds team isn't dirty and it doesn't cheat. It is full of pleasant individuals who you would quite happily encourage your sister to date, apart from Alioski. We play attractive football and we are not going to score too many goals against you. What's not to like?
Teams like Leeds do not get out of this league. Teams like Forest do.

I have seen so many comments that Saturday was Leeds worst performance of the season. The thing is I believe them.
But I also believe that the reason is that Sabri Lamouchi and his staff were able to identify what they do very well and where the dangers lie. Having done so they set Forest up to cancel out the danger. That is basic stuff that all coaches should do before every match. That is the easier part of the strategy and one that Forest do probably better than most teams in the Championship and a major reason for our successes. On Saturday they succeded in doing it again (not for the first time against Leeds)
Forest fans (including myself) have commented this season on our lack of creativity and goals. At times it has been easy, especially in home games for teams to stifle us and hit us on the break. Because that wasn't part of Bielsa's strategy Leeds played into our hands a little bit. Sabri knew that we could stop them scoring and they would be all out attack thereby leaving us opportunities to counter.
Bielsa is a good coach and his Leeds team are very entertaining for the neutral fan to watch. However, he is coaching in the Championship for a reason - he is not a Carlo Ancelotti, or a Rafa Benitez. Sabri on the other hand will coach at higher levels than the Championship and if I were a gambling man I'd bet a small portion of my pension on that becoming a fact

Big Forest fan, season ticket holder and general good guy in the office here this morning. Had a good chat about the result, neither of us crowing we're the biggest club that ever existed. Few weeks ago he was resigned to us (Leeds) walking the league (similar chat about a year ago), I said back then that I couldn't hear any fat ladies singing, although in our office that's not always true, but footballing wise I had a feeling back then, we'd not be running away with anything.
One thing I've learned down the years, I suspect Forest fans might be similar, is that our club don't do anything simple, we never do. If we can find a way to suffer, then we invariably do. No such thing as celebrating before a final whistle, seasons end or anything like it.
