Didn't think fat Eddie was that bad to be honest. A couple of touches to show he had something. Not much service

I just see so little end product from Harrison, but is that Harrison or is the the fact that we don't have an effective striker playing?
----------------------------------------------------------------------

I think he has plenty of ability on the ball but is missing between the ears. Crosses when he should run, runs when he should cross and when he makes the right choice the execution is generally poor. Gets himself into great positions, flatters to deceive. That’s my take. But maybe a better striker making better runs and raking up better positions helps him.

You were defending him to the hilt a couple of months back when some of us were saying he was flapping at stuff.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
And actually now that I think about "defending him to the hilt?"

Really?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Yes, really.

Dont get this kilo has a mistake in him stuff.

When was the last time he made a mistake which lead to a goal, not this season.

He started poorly, however when you look at the situation he was thrown into it's hardly surprising he took time to settle.

Theres a difference between not doing everything all the time perfectly and making errors which lead to goals.

Think some people are still judging him too much on how bad he was last year
----------------------------------------------------------------------
And how is that "defending him to the hilt"

Saying he is playing well and no longer making mistakes, when he is playing well and no longer making mistakes isnt "defending him to the hilt" is it now.

He started poorly, turned it around but clearly now something in his head has clicked and he just isint what he was when he was playing his best for us.

So again "defending him to the hilt?"

Really?

There's clearly something there this season, but how many times do we say that about players and they never really deliver.

1 Kiko has never played well since the racism charge, and he must be benched so that he can get his head together.
2 Both wingers hold the ball up for way too long, a quick cross into the centre stops the defenders having time to set up and stifle the play.
3 The central midfielders don't compress the opposition when we attack, and so they have time to put a line in front of us.
Everything we do in the final third is way too slow, and teams have realised this and are able to shut us out.
We were far better tonight, but we have to be slicker in the final third.

I get the feelings towards Kiko, he’s costing us right now. At times though, pre-Cardiff, he was okay.

I do think he should be replaced by Meslier, but we may still need him.

1st team wise I’ve seen meslier against Arsenal - he did really well I thought. But what if he has the odd yip, he’s pretty young & he’ll be getting thrown into the business end, in a highly competitive league, playing for a club where the pressure is intense. Who knows right now how he’ll fair?

I’m not saying replacing Kiko is a bad idea right now, I’d agree with it. I just don’t think, until he proves otherwise, that we can put all our bet on him. Spell Kiko, don’t bury the guy.

Kiko deserved praise earlier in the season because he was playing well, he isn’t now and he’s become a liability.

Needs dropping

If we arent going to drop Costa id like to see them swap sides. Harrison has looked ok on the right before

The whole of Elland Road chanted Kiko after an Alioski goal a few months back. He was making ridiculous saves that were winning us games.

Now he’s costing us points with stupid mistakes that he is more than capable of dealing with.

I’m not surprised opinions have changed.

But when 35000 fans are chanting his name after a goal he didn’t score. I don’t think Matty is the only one that likes him then. I have never seen anything like it before. He was brilliant for us until Cardiff
----------------------------------------------------------------------

He made a great save at udders I think, most of the rest were decent/regulation... just a pleasant upgrade from last season. There were still clangers (charlton) in between but he was decent to about November. The amount of points he’s cost us since then is shocking. And it would have been worse if we hadn’t bailed him out at Birmingham. It’s howlers every game. Every game. And our replacement is a 19 year old with 1 first team game.

You are allowed to change your opinion. Only idiots give an opinion and then refuse to change it despite all evidence.
Kiko was very good game 1 to game 20. Then the mistakes slipped in and he hasn't recovered.

That's the problem, like I said on a different thread.

He dosent need to make amazing world class saves or always be a perfect player, just do the basics in a way that dosent lead to errors which lead to goals.

He just cant do that at the moment.

It's odd, he took time to settle, tou cant fault him for that I suppose, but earlier this season he was fantastic and now it's just gone.

It's almost a Joe Hart level of turn around to be honest... one day he had it, the next he didnt

Meslier has a fair bit of first team experience, no? We signed him because he did well with Lorient in Ligue 2. I get it's not a high quality and playing for Leeds is different, but to make out that he has no professional experience is incorrect.

We could always ask Burnley if we could swap him for their reserve keeper!..

I wonder if he'd want to come back!..

Joe Hart?

Plenty on here said he was the best gk in the championship a couple of months ago

^ he was

Things change

It’s comments like these that make me laugh.
To make a judgment that he’s the best keeper in the championship would mean you would have had to have watched every single game that’s been played so far. Every single game of every club to make an accurate comparison. We watch Leeds games, so we see opposition keepers twice a season. If we take in a few more sky games then we might see them all on average 3 times a season. It’s hardly a platform to state he’s the best.

Doubt even Bielsa has done that!

Sure... should have qualified i meant 1 game for us. Point being, just a kid, no experience of the league, the crowds, the pressure. If they had confidence of him being ready, they’d have blooded him by now surely? How many mistakes does a guy get to make?

Hey his distribution was great and he looked a confident kid against Arsenal. Like everyone I’m hoping he’s ready.

**** sake why can’t people understand opinions on players can change

Players lose form, it happens.

Kiko was playing well, to pass that off and say I told you so is pathetic. Anyone defending Kiko earlier in the season was well within rights because he was playing well. Simple

Mesliers footwork was excellent but we be er saw much else but Kiko needs a rest
