Brown first half got ripped apart a few times including a few megs and his passing was horrendous. Second half a different player, commanding and full of great leadership - just what a title chasing team needs when the chips are down.
Ntcham's passing was outrageous last night. Great performance from him and McGregor was just his usual terrific.
Forrest was quite wasteful first half when on the ball. His decision making in when to shoot seemed all over the place but the control from that boy is magical
Griff and Eddy have a great understanding. Watching the two play off each other is just great fun. The play balls most don't expect right to each others feet. Only a bad miss from Griff dented their link up last night
I NEVER say it's done until it is mathematically done, we are in a position I didn't think possible after the last derby so that's a huge bonus
It would only take one bad result for us to put the pressure back on again so we need to keep this level of performance up over the next 4-6 games and if Rangers drop any other points during that spell then all well and good but it's what we do that is important imo.
Zachsda, want to reconsider your bet
see for mcgregors goal, ntchams wee touch, delay, and simple pass was exquisite
forrest to eddie was good as well.

Does anybody think Gerrard will be there next season?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Yes
For a number of reasons. Firstly they have progressed massively. Just look at their points from last season to this. They are on track for finishing on 90+ points.
They'd have to sack him if they thought he wasn't the man to take them forward and it may be costly as they have already backed him well in the transfer market.
Liam Boyce is good to watch as well it’s like he’s playing 5s, zero panic, was skinning players for fun last night at times
Him walker and Naismith were decent for Hearts first half
Stendel obv thought they had a chance after 25 mins taking off MacDonald for Washington but it came back to bite him after 5 mins

Yeah good point
Im thinking more from Gerrards point of view. Will he want to stay after losing 2 or 3 trophies for the second season in a row?
Also, if we do win this season, i cant see us not winning next year. We will go hell for leather in the transfer window and it will be many individuals swansong; Lennon, Brown; Edouard, maybe even Desmond, Lawwell, etc

Stevie will be there next season, they have improved although he has spent more than the other managers Rangers has had (Might be corrected by a Bear on that?) but as I've said the season isn't over yet, I'll haud my hand till we win it
if you are gerrard you have to stay unless you are pushed surely.
to leave Scotland having won f... all (assuming they don't win league or Scottish cup of course) would not be good for his CV
A lot of Rangers fans on twitter said that he needs to win the Scottish cup to keep his job.
I'd love another treble but if all we do from here on in is win the league then it's been a very good season.

McGregor
Ntcham
McGregor (Allan)
Barasic
Tavernier
Still be playing in Scotland next year?

I would like to add on Rangers game last night the goal was a screamer from Arfield but that in itself is a worry if your only goal to win a game has to be a screamer as your not making chances then eventually you will drop points, utterly proven last night.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Aye, you love your add-ons

5 goals last night, not one from our strikers.
that's encouraging, even when they don't score someone else will.
looking forward to games just now.

I think he will change it for Europe, we are a bit ropey at the back and better teams will exploit that.

Not so sure? He has gone down the management path and in order to secure a new job his agent will want to sell that he is willing to walk away rather than hold out for a pay off. Play the long game. Rangers as his first job are a relative irrelevance in that game.

I think the squad seem to love playing under Lennon, the hole squad look as close-knit as the Invincible side.
The league isn’t over yet. What we have is decent breathing space. I’ve read that since the winter break, we’ve scored 22 goals and rangers have scored 7. (I’m assuming that’s just the league?!)
Our form is very good, whilst rangers is at best patchy. Gerrard has made sure they never ship a lot of goals in the one match, but that seems to have come at the expense of creating chances. The players that they need to rely on - Morelos, Kent, Tavernier - to either create or score for them aren’t producing.
Someone said last night that their form is similar to that of Bielsa’s teams, where they fold the longer the season goes on, and there might be something in that. I don’t think they’re as fit as they should be.
There probably isn’t one single thing that you can pin the drop off in form on, it’s probably a combination of factors. Inexperience, a lack of either desire or nous in being able to change tactics or formation, issues behind the scenes, lack of depth in squad, and not having the right mentality.
Lennon deserves a lot of credit so far. Our consistency in getting results has been pretty incredible so far this season.
Hopefully, that’s us a game nearer retaining the league last night.
Dare to dream time if we beat Copenhagen though.

Calm doon Subo.
There's an article exploring the possibility that the reason for the Rangers appearing to be lethargic etc. after the winter break is they do a pre season camp in Dubai rather than training and tactics.
Would possibly explain why they always seem to pick up injuries after the winter break too.
