A new club a day for Sancho. Smells of Agent mischief.
Normally I would ignore anything from the Mail, but Dominic King used to be the chief Liverpool journalist at the Echo so... I dunno.
He would suit your System well. But I think he will end up at Utd as we will blow everyone out of the water offering loads of cash.
Depends what his motivation is.

True but expect money to be quite high on it. We’ll see.
im hoping chelsea have a chance, he wont start for liverpool, utd are even worse than us currently.
But main reason is hes suppose to be a chelsea fan since a boy etc, that rarely makes a difference nowadays though.
We may well go in for him but I suspect we'll look to bring through Elliot. I can't see us going for him and Werner though.
It would be nice to go big this summer but I've a feeling the likes of Jones, Elliot and Williams will be brought though and we'll go for Werner and a left back as signings.
He's already on 190k a week and any big move he will demand 300k a week which rules us out. We have better players on less wages with Salah topping the list on 200k a week.

I think u ited will throw silly money at him and if he is happy with potential no champs league next season then he will go there.
Have not seen enough of him but does look a good player. Unlike hudson from chelsea who I think was so overrated chelsea fell for it and gave him some.stupid contract.
this is all agent talk.
its been going on for 12 months. Its not worth worrying about.
Its very clear certain peopel like reddy are given a little interview here and there to just say this stuff is rubbish.
Before james pearce wnet off to do what he is doing he was pulled in just after the CL victory parade and told a couple things to scotch rumours that were flying about for some players and people just absolutely REFUSED to believe we were not going to sign a big name last summer.
Melissa reddy has already stuck a comment in a coupel articles this month saying Kai Havertz aint happening at 80mil
If you actually listen to these little bits and bobs you can hear the voices of edwards and gordan clearly enough.
When you get told of course x player is of interest but the fee is double the market value that tells you how we do business. It is EXACTLY how minamino was signed and what the club said publicly as he was arriving.
If you hear that Sancho costs 100mil or mbappe is on 350k a week then you know (and you all knew anyway) that we are no where near those players.
If you look at our squad again there are actually FEW gaps. I expect a left full and MAYBE a forward to be signed. thats it.
When i hear coutinho stuff resurfacing and i hear werner stuff I take them all as agent's talk.

I agree with what you say, but do you not think that Werner is the most plausible on that list? I think if we'll sign anyone it will be him and he's the cheapest out of the lot.
Totally agree on Sancho, he's not worth £100 mill and I don't see why we would upset our established players to pay him more than them, when I'm reality he's potential only at this point. Yes he's done well at Dortmund but how many times have we seen that with a player who then doesn't transfer that form to the prem.
I say let United, Chelsea and City scrap it out for him and pay silly for him.
He’d be very good for you. I’m not sure he or you’d be really interested unless it was to replace someone leaving though.

He's probably be very good for your team as well. Whoever he ends up playing for will benefit from his services. For what costs is yet to be determined, but with the fees and wages banded about, I don't think it will be us.
This totally goes against a post I made when I first came back from Andy Heaton at the anfield wrap who told me that we'd already signed him and done a Keita style deal last summer. I'm not sure I believe that anymore especially since the rumours of him leaving continue to rumble on. He'll end up in the prem but I don't believe it will be us.

werner is most plausible potentially due to age profile and potential fee release thats been rumoured. its a moving feast but 50mil would be a decent market value
the usual suspects have been silent on denials we are looking at him.
My view would be don't let another eriksen happen. IF we are interested, go work it. we did so with minamino. Eriksen ended up going for 12mil late to spurs and was a RIDICULOUS bargain cos nobody went for him in the end.
Finally his agent has been touting him for 2 years now.
I don’t think he would be happy playing backup for Salah, Firm and Mane. He’d be a very expensive back up option for the AFCON
Can’t see it happening unless Salah or Mane leave.

I see what you're saying but we bought no one last summer and had zero back up to them for the majority of this season, Minamino aside.
In addition, he could turn out to be better than Bobby and take his place. I think there are more variables than he won't want to play back up, I think that's an easy thing to say, whilst I appreciate the sentiment, I just think he could be the players to replace Bobby, because he's not getting any younger and I think he might be 30 this year.
I'd welcome Werner, not overly keen on Sancho for the money involved. Funny thing is, we all have no idea what we'll do this summer. I think like what MITO said, the club have echoed that they won't be held to ransom on players so we might not even buy what we class as a marquee signing. 👍
we need to come to the stark realisation that 50million is not expensive (yeah i know, madness)
and that nobody is a "back up" par se unless they make themselves one.
Werner's advantages are he can play across the front line, he has a release clause, and he would suit klopp's plan.
The reality is though klopp picks the front 3 a lot because he trusts them, while this is true there are also many many games to play in a season and room for more thant just klopp picking from 3 then throwing in origi all of a sudden and hoping that cos its everton he will play well.
My view of next season:
section 1: league and league cup prior to CL start - klopp has always stuck with the front 3.
section 2: League and CL: this is quite a tough period where we need to scrap it out. theres need here imo of that squad.
section 3: before christmas - again klopp seems to rotate in this time and get a few a rest.
section 4. the mad festive fun. games flying in and a packed schedule.
section 5. the fa cup/ league cup semis. January is the killer.
Section 6. The CL restarts. a few more games. to play as it restarts and fa cup continues.
Section 7 the run in with latter stages of CL. again squad is a must.
If we want to flog mane salah and fimino into the ground fine, but for me we've had an issue for 18 months with shaqiri who's never fit and when he is is totally inflexible, can only play RW. I Like minamino but he needs time and origi is fine for what he does and when he's about it he can be quite good.
I'd buy someone personally. Someone who can compliment that current squad. I see 20-25 games there to be played and it'll push the others on too.
I bet people don't realise Origi's played some part in 20 league games so far and 4 CL games. some of thats just 5 or 10mins but if klopp had a "better option" do you not think he'd put them on with 25/30mins to go and keep the others honest?
The dream is mbappe but we'd lose on of the front three for that to ever even have a chance of happening.
Sancho likely same situation. Werner seems the only real option that comes and the front three stay.
we've only played it a few times, but if someone of a 'starter quality' was signed i could see more of the 4231 formation being played vs 'lesser' sides.
How do city keep sterling, aguero, jesus, bernardo, mahrez, sane all happy, they seem to rotate alot

Pay them sheet loads of money per week?
I agree, top teams have top players. I think we need to get over this strong 11 malarkey and realise it's a squad game. I reckon Werner would be bang up for playing with us. Klopp factor and all that.
