Christie was absolutely stinking in his last 7 games before his injury.
, Two of which he featured against rangers
Have we ever been able to say this about Ntcham?

Absolutely yes most of last season when he was in the huff after Dembele left he was generally utter pash and would have been the same this season had Lenny to his credit not sorted it out.Dont remember Christie being poor for 7 games on the trot though ??

I'm not surprised
He was absolutely crap prior to Xmas
Cup final and Celtic park against rangers he was probably the worst player on the park
Same in every game since the cup final
It's cool though , you're probably less a football person than a Celtic man
Christie is the last player who deserved to lose his place, he was undoubtedly our best player in the first half of the season but that's football at a club like Celtic, if you are injured or suspended and someone comes in and stakes a claim you have to just keep patient and wait for an opportunity.
It would be unfaor to drop Ntcham and mess with our current set up, and Christie will still get plenty of game time as he can play in numerous positions so I don't see him throwing the toys out the pram anytime soon.
Frimpong is another guy who will have to be patient, he'll give Forrest a rest from time to time but at the moment he'll need to be cover.

I see its the old had a pash game against Rangers so is garbage nonsense same thing thats continually thrown at Forrest(name a player other than Forster in the cup final who played well in either of the last 2 Rangers games).
Look at both those players stats for the season they have been excellent and reliable players for us.
I would also add Celtic Tornado that any drop off in form from Christie(and Jamesy for that matter)was down to Lenny moving Christie out to the right and Forrest to the left to accommodate Ntcham in the team
When Christie wasn't playing well the entire team weren't playing well so it's strange to single out a guy who had been our best player up until that point.
Right now Ntcham deserves the slot, but Christie for me has proven himself to be the the better and more consistant overall player so if I could only have one it would be Ryan, I wish we were able to accommodate both of them coz they are 2 of our top 5 players, but it's never really clicked with both on the pitch as far as I can remember.
It's working out well though, it suits Celtic for Ntcham to be the guy who plays out the season as it will maximise his value for when he is sold in the summer.

I agree, we have players of a similar quality as back up in most positions, but Eddy is so important, we really need to break the wage cap and offer him a sizeable loyalty bonus to stay one more season, the though of trying to bed in a new striker in such an important season give me the fear.

Hes defo in the top 5 players who are vital to our success along with Eddy,Calmac,Broony and Forrest.
For me its no coincidence that Ryan became less effective(though still decent) when moved out of the No10 role to the RW to accommodate Ntcham, up until then he had been our top performer.

Christie is the last player who deserved to lose his place, he was undoubtedly our best player in the first half of the season but that's football at a club like Celtic, if you are injured or suspended and someone comes in and stakes a claim you have to just keep patient and wait for an opportunity.
