No European football, limited transfer budget, David Silva retiring. Pep will walk.

They will pay their way out of this money talks, the are the richest little big club in the world
----------------------------------------------------------------------
That is the crux of it though in that whatever happens biw, the real damage has already been done. If City do get off it somehow via CAS, the narrative will just be that instead.
It’s a nonsensical narrative, but it will happen anyway. Personally, I have no idea what will happen, just that it was always going to end up at CAS one way or another.
Do people genuinely believe that the court of arbitration for sport will take bribes?

Sheffield could make Champions League

That would be hilarious but only if not at our expense....

That’s what I mean! Surely if there were any bribes involved, it would have been before it got to the independent actual court...?
It’s daft, melton. This is the same court that banned Russia from the Olympics due to state sponsored doping. If the Russian state cannot bribe them what facking chance have City got?
It’s why this was always inevitable, it had to end up in CAS. I wasn’t expecting Uefa to go for two years though, was expecting one year.
The ban won't stick. But Pep will be off this summer anyway I should think.
Think the ban will be reduced to one season on appeal.
One season won’t be the end of it either though, I don’t think.
This is Peps last season at city, either way what ever the outcome
Mental amount of money City will in essence have been fined. Close to £200 million
UEFA trying to set a precedent I guess. We’ll have to see what happens I guess. I don’t know do pf the details to know whether it’ll get overturned or reduced.

Yep. I can’t see why it would get reduced, not in the first instance at least. The statement we’ve released, we’re challenging the entire decision, not the severity of the sentence.
I wouldn’t be surprised to see it delayed a season as there’s potentially two appeals just there.

They’ve spent a long time assessing it and doubt they would have come to this decision without substantial evidence. On the flip side, they are a corrupt organisation from top to bottom, so who knows.
If you’re challenging the entire decisions it’s unlikely it’ll be reduced to one then. Two or nothing.
Exactly. If the decision is upheld, then we might appeal again. Telling that the statement from the club says in the first instance though when referring to CAS, reads to me like all or nothing.
