Yeah that’s because of the fake sponsorship deals which have been sussed out, hence the ban.

Fackin simpleton
Then onto the competitive side of things. You can compete at the top without having to pump billions into a club. Look at Liverpool.
==============
Liverpool themselves spent millions to get where they are. In few transfer windows they spent over £200million 😂
FFP ban could mean City concentrate more on domestic trophies
That could be bad news too?

Btw my argument about Liverpool spending is that it is not possible to mount sustainable push for CL and domestic success without spending so blaming city fir that its hypocrisy
Talking of pumping money into the club I’d argue most owners has to do that at the top level?

The investigation into PSG has already been dropped, despite the club’s very clear breaches, and despite a review of the investigation by the very chairman of the UEFA panel that penalizes teams that break the organization’s financial rules finding that the decision to close the case was “manifestly erroneous”.
The closure of the investigation into PSG actually ended up at CAS, where UEFA *sided with PSG* to get the case permanently closed!
Some may care to speculate that UEFA’s disinterest in pursuing PSG has something to with the fact that the club’s president, Nasser al-Khelaifi, sits on UEFA’s executive committee. He also happens to be the chairman of beIN Media Group, the Qatar-based broadcaster that has spent billions to secure television rights from UEFA.
Make no mistake: UEFA are as corrupt as they come.

The first thing FIFA should have done if they really want a level playing field is to put a worldwide cap on salaries and transfer fees. That would really level out the field then.

Morespurs - Spurs spent £260m in the last three seasons and yet you aren't at the top. I don't think spending over £200m was what the OP was talking about, simpleton. He was talking about spending billions, buying a defence for £200m alone. For example Walker £50, Stones £50m, Laporte £57m, Mendy £50. That's before you even include their back up defenders. Also have you ever heard of City losing a player they don't want to and having to replace him, like happens to Spurs and Liverpool?
This is why looking at simple spend is stupid, you need to look at what you have lost also. Even net spend doesnt do Spurs justice as they have had to replace players that they've sold for bargain prices due to letting their contracts run down. You've therefore had to spend £150m alone, this season, to be still worse than you were a few seasons ago.
It's about how you manage your spend and sales. Liverpool have done this brilliantly. Spurs not so much.

Looks like the Qataris bribed everything and everyone to get PSG off the hook. Hopefully they won't be able to do it again with City.
The PSG case also needs to be reopened and reinvestigated pronto.
If the sheik lost interest then city would have a fire sale and most likely end up getting relegated. A new owner is unlikely to see the company as a fun loss making entity and would not artificially pump in far more money than they make. You shouldn't have a whole club solely reliant on one individual.
