I definitely agree with you there, but even without the press she had so much going on in her life the last three months. So I find it a bit crass and short sighted when there’s an echo chamber just focusing on ‘the media the media the media’ when there’s so much more to it, like most cases. Take away the media and you still have someone with stressors that will make their mental health at risk, and that’s only what’s known to the public.

I don’t disagree the media has a role to play defo. I think just the first comment I replied to..it just jumped straight to ‘the media caused this then didn’t it’. Well..we don’t know what caused it unless she told you herself, but she had a lot of things going on past the media, and it’s unlikely just one thing contributed to it. It’s just something that doesn’t sit well with me.
Not just on here, everywhere on twitter people are just talking about media/social media in relation to this. Well what about her lack of support/isolation. What about the literal fact she had a serious charge and impending court case. The fact she lost her job. The media is just another stressor, and we don’t even know how much or little it impacted this case. What we do know is regardless of the stress/what caused it (noting that any ‘trigger’ for mental health doesn’t even have to be something significant) - we need to recognise when they’re falling ill and encourage people to reach out and seek help when they’re ill.

Yeah, I do agree. It's not relevant to the platform on which we post. I saw earlier that a former England captain is suffering from a debilitating, progressive brain disease, and that, and what may have caused it is probably more relevant to this platform.
Having said that, Caroline Flack is a very, very famous name in modern society, and there's no harm in posting condolences. Better than the usual squabbling, which I am often guilty of contributing to

Yes and no - I think it’s much more easily accessible these days, which means it’s harder for those affected to escape.
Think about bullied children... they can’t leave school and forget about it now, with social media etc.
