Kamara, might I invite you to:

(1) Read the above articles about online abuse and their effects.

(2) Specifically in response to said articles, repeat your 'yawn' comment.

(3) Publish your real name and home address on here.

Interested to know what you think the connection between the 2 is?

You cant seriously suggesting rating an article 1 star on ja606 is akin to abusing someone on social media?

--------------------

Bloodred, ok, to try and answer your points:

First of all, I would define JA606 as social media.

However, and more importantly, I have witnessed people becoming distressed on here by both comments and, yes, un-attributed ratings. The fact that I, and by the sounds of it, your good-self, are seemingly unaffected by such, it doesn't mean that others are not becoming distressed.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
There are people who pay attention to them yes. I think to say they are becoming 'distressed' by them is hugely over dramatic.

I can honestly say I never even notice the stars! I certainly don’t choose what I read because of the star rating. It is only when someone actually asks on here why a poster has rated their article one star that I even look at the star ratings.

And if anyone gets distressed or so upset because someone only gave a one star, then this place is not for them, just go somewhere else, it's your fingers that are in control, nobody forces anyone to sit there and be upset. I don't even give out stars so god knows what they make of that.

Literally don’t care.

Someone goes through the Leeds board and clicks one star for everything, so don’t take it personally, nothing to get worked up by anyway.

Never given a star rating, never looked at star ratings on an article.

Who cares?... All seems a bit needy to me. Write what you want to write for you, don’t worry what others think/rate of your opinion.

If the system logged every rating given by each member and showed the number of ratings they've given and their average on their profile, it might throw up some clues as to who the 1-star warrior is.

Kamara,

I genuinely worry about people like you. I hope you've got someone who can guide you.

Never looked at ratings when creating an article here.
Tend to forget they are there

I stood up for Becchio and got slaughtered!..

Funny, it wasn't the one stars that bothered me, mind, the slaughtering didn't either, someone cant ignore a few muppets on here that most of will be from other clubs that know they'll get a reaction with the one star, than they'd do best just ignoring this site!..

The problem isn’t the rating system, it’s the filtering and banning of users on other boards.

The site has transformed from a primarily a football discussion forum to website with individual camps.

You cannot discuss anything now without an opposing fan jumping in with a clan mentality with the intention of nothing more than to bully and harass someone.

An amnesty of filtered users and board bans would go a long way to reintegrating users and removing the bully group mentality a lot of us are guilty of
----------------------------------------------------------------------

You can start with your fans for this behaviour.

Filtering is sometimes used just to save articles from the same trolls.

Point proven.

Not really, because I’m someone who joins articles and comments how I see it - no cliques.

There’s a bunch of Liverpool fans who run around trolling lots of articles.
