To answer you I have worked in Northern Ireland in places on both side of the divide and guess what. The people look very much the same. Same as the Balkans. In fact as far as genes are concerned not only is there very little difference between Croats and Serbs or Ulster Prots and Cats, there very little difference between Serbs and Croats and Ulstermen.
You might even be bright enough to realise that in both cases it is about power not race or religion, Wolf Tone and Parnell were both Protestants. Try reading a bit of history sometime, you might be enlightened.
White privilege seems to be blinding many on here to the obvious.
I never ever thought I'd see Spart praising Mrs Thatcher. Maybe there/their/they're is some good out of this unpleasant saga.

You seem to be having a bit of a go at my posts and reading into them what I am not saying or thinking.
Does it matter whether hatred and discrimination is because of religion or race or anything else? Maybe it’s human nature to hate. You only have to read the posts on here to see that the default approach seems to be hostility and rudeness towards other individuals whose crime is to have a different political leaning or even a different opinion on a football matter. What is it about us that makes it so hard to be civil? (and I know, I can be as guilty as anybody else). Is it just the lack of consequence that comes with the Internet or are we just bad people?
