The bad news is that there is no VAR in the Europa League this season - until the knockout stage. So we will see it on Thursday but be interesting to see if it is applied differently to what we are used to. For instance accidental handball is not considered an offence in most countries. And referees on the continent are used to consulting a tv screen before making a decision.

Hopefully after the game we will be talking about the game not VAR. Should be an entertaining game and in the first leg we will be looking for a win and ideally a clean sheet as away goals count double.

Is this what the world is coming to? Storm after storm. Flood after flood. Greta Thunberg clearly talks more sense than the American President

Espanyol come to Molineux as the bottom club in La Liga but since appointing a new manager in December they have been improving and are now only 2 points off the survival place.

In 2020 they have played 8 and won 3, drawn 3 and lost 2

All my favourite fishing rivers, plus the Severn and the Wye. Spent many happy hours in that area.

When you thought you were fishing in peace. wolfgang was watching over you with his telescope. Luckily you were out of range of his hunting rifle

Sign of the times. Wolves U23s play Liverpool tonight and the starting 11 contains players of 10 different nationalities. The only nation represented twice is France

Vinagre back in training now but he won’t be ready for Thursday

So it would appear that Espanyol have lost their striker through injury and have no-one else who can score goals. They are not capable of playing out from the back and don't have the pace for counter-attacking.
All sounds good to me

They are bottom of the table for a reason. The striker they signed in January has certainly made a difference and their results have improved. But with him now injured they may well go back to struggling. A win and a clean sheet on Thursday will go a long way to getting the job done

If Wolves had keeper problems in a game and needed to put an outfield player between the sticks who would it be? Some pretty impressive footage online from the training ground shows Rúben Neves looking very much up for the job
