Too early to say whether Levy has got it right with his decision to get rid of Poch and appoint Jose. Jose needs to prove himself over his tenure with some silverware to justify it being worth getting rid of a manager who regularly got top 4 for but who also didn't achieve silverware. The rewards need to be more than just getting back into the top 4 this season. If it ends up being top 5 that gets CL this season, hell I'm pretty sure Poch would have done that even after the poor start.

It will mean nothing unless the club back the manager in the transfer market. But they never do.
Fair play to Jose though. He is winning even with an unbalanced squad that has no striker
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Smeg didn`t you think Spurs were going to lose yesterday?
When you say the club never back the manager in the transfer market, what are Ndombele, Bergwyn, Fernandez, Lo Celso if they are not the club backing the manager and bringing in new signings?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Yep, I keep predicting losses don’t I 😉
Spurs keep winning though don’t they?
Thing is, just buying a few players isn’t always backing the manager. Buying the players the manager wants in the positions he needs is.
So is getting rid of players he wants out.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
So who wanted Lo Celso n’dombele and Sessegnon?
Poch !
Eriksen wanted to go to real but their chairman and manger had different views on buying him
We tried selling rose to Watford but he didn’t want to go there and said he’d run down his contact
It’s hard to get rid of players if they don’t want to go

Poch wouldn`t have had a hope in hell of getting top four this season. The Prem form for the last eight months of his tenure was like five Prem wins. He had to go.

Yeah well I disagree. He deserved to be supported by Levy and I think we would have seen an eventual upturn in results.

You wanted Poch sacked after getting you to your first ever CL/European Cup Final?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Which we lost. I want a manager to be WINNING trophies. Losing in the Final means nothing, may as well have been knocked out in the group stages, same thing.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Spurs wouldn't have spent £150,000,000 if they'd not reached the final.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Big difference in revenue getting knocked out in the group stage to reaching the final.
Poch getting us top 4 and to the champions league final helped generate the funds to buy our summer signings
----------------------------------------------------------------------
It`s still not winning though Hounslows. I don`t care much about spreadsheets and finances. Leave that to the nerds. I care about supporting my team and my team winning trophies mate.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Another idiotic statement. The Champions League run earned Spurs about EUR70m. That's hardly the sort of sum you just ignore.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Saved me writing it.

with spurs defence and lack of clinical finishing how on earth can you expect us to win a trophy regardless of the manager
