Wilshere had a great start. But he was never as consistent. What impresses me about Saka that sets him apart is his end product. He is the antithesis of Walcott. The only other player I have seen of similar vision at the same age is Cesc. But Cesc didn't have the pace or power that Saka has. No wonder we are now desperately trying to extend him. Its been a meteoric rise.

Mislintat quit because we signed Denis Suarez instead of promoting Saka.

Mislintat quit because we wanted Edu as technical director. He thought the position had been promised to him. He forgot of course that any promise made to him was by Gazidis.

Seems a decent player, although he needs to beef up a little, went shoulder to shoulder with a Newcastle player was sent flying... was a little bit comical.

What is his natural position? I’m guessing he is not a full back

I think he'll be a winger. There are a lot of wide players who are fast and direct. Very few however that have an end product almost every time he attacks. And that at 18 with so little experince. Thats what gives him an edge over other prospects in my opinion.

Love it when posters come on here to boast about predictions when one of the many they make come true. Almost like they want some recognition that it is somehow down to them that a player is better than people thought.

Better boosting your younguns than deriding their ability. Each to his own.

Why is it better? What difference does it make what you or I think?

Obviously congrats to you for telling everyone about Saka though. Well done from the Arsenal family. You are great - we love you

I don't know if you are local or not. But I am and can only describe how local fans like me feel when a youth product we have sometimes seen through lower levels make it to the big leagues. Thats why I emphasised what I meant when I described him as once in a generation product in the original thread. The last time I felt the same way about a youth product the same way was with Ashley Cole. Thats what a being 'fan' means. What difference does it make? Why do you support Arsenal at all? Judging by those comments siding with Chelsea supporters, maybe it doesn't.

Don't try and call me out on whether I'm a real fan or not. You've no idea. I was going to Highbury back in the early 80s mate when we were really crap and regularly got crowds of 18k or under. I've earned the right to criticise attention seekers like you.

Local fans haha you massive girl

Born and still live in Totteridge

And I remember the 80s as well. Which makes it even more incredulous so called fans not appreciating when a local lad breaks through. Poring scorn on youth players? Whats with that?

Attention seekers? You are the one continuing to reply!

Saka valued more than Mbappe ๐Ÿค”

Mbappe plays in a farmer's league. I am sure his value will go back up if he moves to one with competitive football.

Shown he can perform on international stage and CL. Saka hasn't

Saka hasn't performed on the International stage? Why do you think his profile has gone through the roof? And he is younger.

But I am not comparing the two. Like I said, it's Mbappe own fault for not moving earlier to show that he can do it consistently day in and day out against better players. I am sure he'll regain the no.1 spot if he did.
