I struggle to think of a worse striker for Chelsea than Bats. Rubbish finishing, always offside, terrible touch, always giving the ball away, tries to do fancy flicks and backheels when he's yet to master a normal pass, no brain...

he is comically bad though

I don’t think the chances he had were easy ones, especially the first as it was behind him, but his shooting technique is just so bad. A competent forward that can strike a ball cleanly probably scores one of the two decent chances he had, especially the first one.

That 1st one was Willians fault, poor delivery left Batshooey no chance.

But the other two - the least I expect is those be on target and force the keeper to make a save!

Brummie, yeah definitely. He just seems to lack composure and technique in his finishing. Most of his goals seem to be scrappy tap ins, and they aren’t particularly regular.

His finishing is the only decent quality he has, everything else simply isn't up to standard, if he can't be depended on to deliver in that one aspect when we need him too (like today) then that's the queue for change.

At the right level of club with the right system in place to conceal his weaknesses I'm sure he'll flourish, but that's not us, it never was. Remy was another one, one dimensional strikers heavily reliant on their finishing never work with us.

Batshuayi is like one of those technically limited goal scorers who can't get involved in build up play but if one of those players couldn't score goals either

Hi GG, I'm not hopeful with the form were're in.

I don't think that anything went for us tonight from injuries before and during the game not to mention VAR!

I'm down for the game Saturday and possibly meeting up with hounslow after if he can make it, so if you fancy joining in the festivities!

saw this comment yesterday on another thread...trawled back to check if we were still on about Bats...astoundingly we were....

Girooo & Bats are both impact subs at best.
They serve no purpose as starters, at this level under Frank.
