We need someone who can also pick a deadly pass

It’s quite insane the amount of chances our players miss

Zlatan should have buried some of those. Pogba is class, no doubt.... Not sure there are many with his passing ability up for grabs, tbh, so looking for other qualities will have to suffice.

Can't really point the finger at zlatan though, how many did he score he had no right to?

Of course, just noting on that video itself.... Missed some sitters

Grealish isn’t a replacement for Pogba. They’re different kinds of footballer who play different roles.

And if Grealish comes, where does he fit into side that already has Rashford and Bruno in the supporting line? Off the right? Or do we use him in rotation?

I’m not sure where this sudden fascination with signing him has come from tbh. Great player, but once again, whether Pogba stays or otherwise, we have bigger priorities at number six, on the right and up top.

I’m with Forr, for what it’s worth.

If Pogba goes, we need to be looking at someone like SMS.

Grealish has some similarities with Hazard. Obviously not in his class, but his ability to carry the ball (and team) and drag his team up the pitch and the bring others into play is something extremely valuable in a team that is lacking attacking fluidity.

That said, I’m not really sure where he fits into this current United side without having to adapt to a different position/role in the team.

Play Grealish on the left of the three and Bruno on the right of the three. Not sure if Fred or Mct are good enough to be the DM in that three.

When Rash on the left cuts inside then Grealish can push upfield and take his place. And track back when Rash is in position.

By all accounts Bruno played B2B at sporting, obviously the stats suggest otherwise.

Plus they both work hard off the ball, so no reason with a quality DM they couldn't play together.

Grealish has a tenancy to lose the ball in his own half though so who knows.

I'd happily take Grealish as a squad option (much more useful than Lingard/Pereira/Mata) but if we are getting selling Pogba, I'd hope for a better replacement tbh
----------------------------------------------------------------------

8 goals and 7 assists this season in a team struggling against relegation. Every time I see him play he is breezing past players like they aren't there. He is a creative and a goal threat and would add some drive to our attacks with his runs through the middle. I think that he is exactly what we need in that area.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

If Grealish and Fernandes are in the same team then I think we should also be buying Ndidi for balance.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Wed certainly need better than Fred and Matic.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Good thing Fred is not the best midfielder n this team at the moment. The ease at which we would love to discard him would be awkward

Haven't watched the video, but he had a spell where he was horrendous. I think he had about 60 shots without scoring and some of them were sitters. I seem to remember one against West Ham? Anyway, he should have been dropped at that point. His form was terrible. Overall, he was a good signing though.

If Ole wants to persist with a 4-2-3-1, then the funds from a potential Pogba sale should be on a deep lying playmaker. Then left over funds should be put towards attackers.

If I was playing FM then Lingard, Pereira, Sanchez would all leave permanently. With another #10 coming in (Grealish, Maddison?) a RW and a striker.

Defensively, Smalling should be brought back with Jones and Rojo being sold.

Theres still quite a bit of work that needs done to get the right squad.

That is the way I see it. I think that we could go with a DM who doesn't really get forwards, Bruno alongside him, picking passes from deep and getting involved in attacks, with Grealish ahead of them. Against the lesser teams would could push Bruno alongside Grealish.

So much will depend on at what point we realise we can’t sign Sancho.

My money’s on him signing for Chelsea before the end of the season. Hope I’m wrong though

Gives me hope then.

This will be what dictates our summer. I we fail I wouldn’t be surprised if we sign Grealish and just shift Rashford over to the right. There’s not a lot of top right wingers around right now.

A summer of trying to sell Pogba and trying to buy Sancho

I’m sure it will be sorted nice and easily 😂

Not by my account, or the accounts I’ve read.

He played primarily as a proper, out-and-out attacking midfielder.

I expect we’d end up seeing Rashford go to sheet, and Grealish and Bruno tripping up over each other in central areas all the time.

I think we might actually have learned a bit about buying players for positions we really need to strengthen though.

Which is why I suspect Grealish won’t be a key target this summer.
