Think Jose has made a big mistake telling the kid that. Especially now he has no other option.

posted on 18/2/20

And in what way is he “not ready” ??

He’s either good enough for this club or he’s not.

posted on 18/2/20

Kid must be annoyed. Play pre season against world class defenders and not even make 6th choice striker

Kane arguably wasn’t ready when he started getting games in 2014. That turned out alright...

In any case we’re up shiiit creek without a paddle. He should be on the bench at least.

If he’s not ready.....GET HIM READY.

Has to be on the bench from now on. A huge fack up if we go into games with no proper attacking options as subs.

Said the same thing in Sandy's thread earlier. Yes, he's young but he's a full international for ROI. He's no mug and he'll get better, but only with games. Give the kid the same chances Kane was given. He might surprise us. One thing's for sure, he'd have been getting minutes under Poch.

posted on 18/2/20

Not even training with the first team. Must be injured. Standard.

posted on 18/2/20

Maybe he's not ready in the same way De Bruyne and Salah weren't ready at Chelsea under JM. Absolutely no future vision from him whatsoever.

He was getting no minutes under Poch, other than one game against Colchester, in which he did zero, and Spurs lost the game.

If he was ready, he would be in. He clearly is not.

Kane was different, he had actually played games in the Championship and the lower leagues, Parrott has done none of that.

Think Jose might have to change his tune now that Son is out , was stupid to say anything publicly in the first place.

Not really if you think about it. Doesn't put any pressure on the 18 year old. Had he said "Yes Troy is ready and will start " the expectation on the lad rises, the fans already think he is the second coming, then if he fails to score after a run of games our gloriously fickle knee jerk fan base will be saying "loan him, he is not ready..." You get the picture....

Granted, he wouldn't have been starting games but he'd have had 5-10 mins here and there and every little helps. He did the same with Skipp last year regardless of performance levels just to give the lad minutes. You can't expect miracles quickly but giving Parrott those minutes of the bench would have prepared him well for emergencies such as these.

Saying that, we've been defending for our lives for a good couple of months so we've not been in a position to give young kids the opportunities I guess. My opinion is based more on JM history. Will he ever give these lads a chance? His track record says no.

Hasn`t he give both Sessignon and Tanganga a chance, they are both getting more minutes than under the previous manager.

Bloody annoying isn’t it.

Sandy completely ignoring sess was injured for nearly all the time poch was here

Jose has been fine how’s he’s handled the squad imo though.
