Haaland’s pretty similar to Falcao actually. Doesn’t look the most gifted technically but works his aris off and is facking lethal in and around the box.

Glad we passed on him to be honest, if it means getting Raiola out of our club once Pogba goes.

Great player, but there will be others without the fat Mediterranean baggage.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
You lot really sound like the snubbed girlfriend with all this talk about passing on him and not really wanting him anyway.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Didn’t say we didn’t want him, but we did pass on him. That’s a fact. Because of his agent.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
How is it 'fact'? I've only heard it repeated by anonymous United fans across the web.

The only direct quotes I've heard from any of the involved parties is Haaland saying he chose BvB because he felt it was the better step at this stage in his career.

And I doubt you'll find anyone outside United, actually even very few United fans come to think of it, who'd say he was wrong.

----------------------------------------------------------------------

Well Solskjaer said a deal was agreed in principle but we backed out because of the demands from his agent. I’m inclined to believe him.

There no deal to agree in principle, just a buyout clause to table and agree terms with the player/his agent.

Falcao is a good comparison actually. Obviously in his peak years that is, not the Chelsea/United ones.

Neo, yeah they look similar in the way they attack the ball and get their shots off from what I’ve seen. Simple but very effective.

Did he? Cab you show me the quote? As far as I read, he simply chose Dortmund over United, which you can understand considering the positions of both clubs, currently.

Hi IOAG

Predictions for your tie? I’m quite looking forward to it tbh, despite the fact I hold no great love for either side

posted on 18/2/20

Yeah, kind of a no-lose situation for you I suppose. Though it's a bit of a no-win too. But it's always pleasing to see one bunch of cants go out.

It's not one I'm looking forward to, tbh. As poor as City may have been this season (going by their own standards, of course), even our best this season has been pretty pedestrian. We're really going to need City to gift it to us, and seeing as they've got no hope in the league I think they;re going to be about as focused as they can possibly be for the CL.

posted on 18/2/20

I also looks like it's going to be their last sniff at the CL for some time too

UEFA will do their best to make sure the refs gift Madrid the game. They do not want Manchester City in their competition.

You still have the tools to really damage them though, if you can get ahold of the ball.

Tactically, I think it’ll be really interesting, particularly in terms of how Zidane sets his stall out in the first leg.

Could very easily be upwards of six goals across the two legs I reckon.
