Champers,

Why wouldn't a Liverpool fan follow this story closely? City are our closest on-field rivals and I'd argue the result is likely to have an impact on us next season.

If City don't have the CL next season they'll completely focus on reclaiming the league, it'll make our title challenge next season more difficult.

Plus there's the speculation about whether any ban would impact transfer plans, a bit of speculation is always fun.

With the obvious exception of City themselves I'd have thought any ban would indirectly impact Liverpool more than any other club (although RM might disagree if they take a humping in the CL next week); why wouldn't Liverpool fans be more interested than most?

Admittedly I think this is my first comment on the issue but generally speaking I'd have thought it were weird if Liverpool weren't the most interested fan base.

Why do you keep writing that?

Strange strange man.

Why do you keep crying about me?
----------------------------------------------------------------------

I don't Winston, it's your arrogance coupled with being mental.

No-one crys because of you, no-one threatens to call the police and tbh I doubt anyone cares.

There is a reason you get in the final of cvnt of the year without fail. I don't.

You;re just a bit of a twatt with no charisma and delusions of grandeur and that's about it.

Another thread derailed by Winston. Bye.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Here we go.

Robbing brings me into a personal post and then whines that the thread has been derailed.

Chuck in a comment about mental health and it's classic Robbing.

What a stain on this forum he has become.

Without kicking the hornets nets, you're possibly the most difficult person to engage with on this whole site as you have to have the last word even when people have replied to you with "okay".

There is approximately 0.0000001% chance that you won't reply to this comment.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

You think that because you see the ridiculous drawn out arguments but you don’t notice the times when I leave it alone.

I’ve no intention of having a long drawn out argument with you as I don’t even know who you are.

The only thing I will say is that my post history proves you wrong.

Have a nice evening.

The emoji brigade will always come out to play on any topic. If engaged in any online discussion you kind of need to accept for every good poster there'll be half a dozen imbeciles JA606 is no exception but there are, in my opinion, a lot of good posters as well.

I just find it a shame, really. I've been here since the start, having followed from the old BBC site, and I, maybe naively, figured most of the idiots would have grown out of it by now. I still come here out of habit and used to be really active, but I just lurk mostly now, and generally only pop my head above the parapet when the grumpy old man in me can't resist moaning about stuff. The old BBC site had its fair share of questionable posters but I find myself these days missing the constant moderation that used to royally irk me on there.

Totally agree there are still some very good posters, and I still come on looking for some decent discussion and maybe a clever wind up, and some threads are great for the first twenty or so comments, then it just descends into a car crash. Unlucky for me, I've always been pretty bad for rubbernecking

----------------------------------------------------------------------

Yes.

I would prefer our sponsors hadn't laundered money because it's not a great image but ultimately it has nothing to do with the club and how it's run. So I'm not entirely sure what point you're making? That corporate fraud exists and those organisation might sponsor teams?

As a side note, I'm sure you'll also have seen the comment from their Chief Exec accepting the punishment, acknowledging the wrongdoing and making clear it was unacceptable...

I treat this forum with the contempt it deserves most of the time.

There are some good threads but they're rarely football related.

For me it’s not about wanting to get away with it. It’s about wanting to hear and understand the evidence and have an independent body make a decision.

Whilst I'm not saying anybody is guilty or innocent in this scenario (nor should anyone else until the whole truth is revealed), I don't trust UEFA one jot and believe they very much have their own agendas.

It is literally only FIVE years since then UEFA President Michel Platini was banned from football for 8 years for none other than ethics violations. And you think that's an organisation you can trust?!

I find it odd that Man City, and their fans, believe a governing body isn't in a position to enforce it own rules, via Uefa’s club financial control body (CFCB).

Man City are accusing some highly regarded people, without evidence, of being biased, and somehow being involved in a witch hunt against them.
Very disturbing behaviour indeed.

Weird isn’t it. They’ll be asking for someone independent to enforce our laws next. Those pesky police and judges can’t be trusted.

UEFA and it's employees aren't exactly squeaky clean though as has been proven in the past.

There's surely no harm in having an independent set of eyes look over this? If you were accused of killing someone, you wouldn't have the victims' parents on the jury.
