Lucas for Dele? After all, he was the one that saved us when we were last in this kind of position.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
cant see a repeat of that with no target man. he is the target man now ffs
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Well we didn't have Kane playing in that Ajax match, although Llorente came on later. Can we stick one of our big defenders up front to be the target man?

I actually don't think that's the worst idea in the world to be fair. Jose would be slaughtered for it though.
2 of those Lucas goals did come from Dele assists though.
Just a shame Dele is so inconsistent.
After Leipzig scored, they looked far less dangerous going forward. If Spurs can let Leipzig score early in Red Bull then they can dominate the match again like they did second half last night, provided Leipzig aren't in a position where they need to score again. Promising for Spurs.
Yesterday performance was no different to when Spurs played Ajax last year. Can't be all Jose fault.

Different manager, different players, the only constant is the FANS. The Spurs fans on here need to be looking closer to home. I'm not saying they are bad fans, just quite clearly unsuccessful ones, lacking that winning mentality.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
They continue to justify Daniel levy. That is the problem.

Although that said, he did set them up poorly in the first half.
Jose said after the game last night that Lamela hadn’t trained with the team after his injury and was a risk and that NDombele wasn’t fit to start.
I’m not sure what else people expect Jose to do with the team he has.
He’s trying to manage 90+ minutes of a game to get us a result.
Football is a results business.
Playing pretty football doesn’t get us top 4, winning matches does.
We are without Kane, Son and Sissoko - 3 of our top performers.

I do think the criticism of him after last night is harsh given how limited we are at the moment. And Ndombele was having issues under Poch, so that tells you it's definitely more about the player than the managers picking him.
To be fair, Leipzig are not a bad side at all, so I don’t really see too much shame in losing to them, their passing and movement was very good..
Sure tactics played it’s part, but even with a fully fit team this would have been a tough one to call..
The tactics aren’t outdated, as Atleti showed the night before. They are just incredibly shiiiiiit to watch. But that’s always been the case, it doesn’t mean they can’t work.

Sorry, which part is ballacks?
- José did say that about Lamela.
- He is trying to manage 90+ mins and get a result
- Football is a results business
- Winning matches does help you achieve top 4
- Kane, Son and Sissoko are 100% out of action
There are a number of folk on here who just hate Jose and have been waiting for a defeat (after 7 unbeaten) to get stuck in
------------------------------------------------------------------------
Yes 7 unbeaten with more luck than judgement or are you saying we outplayed city? Both Southampton and Norwich should have beaten us as well.
I am not a Jose fan and never have been but I might get that way if he actually goes out to win a game instead of packing 10 men behind the ball and lumping it forwards which is how we are playing at the moment.
Ok we have a couple of players missing but is that really an excuse to play Aurier in front of Tanganga?
After watching Tanganga deal with the likes of Mahrez and Mane I know full well who I would rather see at right back.
Sorry but if Jose has not realised that we CANNOT defend and it does not matter how many men he puts behind the ball we will still conceed maybe he should think of attacking as a way to stop teams peppering us with shots.
Believe it or not if the ball is in their half they wont be scoring against us.
Sissoko one of our top performers
