It depends in who actually comes in for him and their situation. Its not like Madrid and Barca want him that badly and he would into be guaranteed of a start at most teams too.

Because hopefully he's sensible and realises that it's a squad game. He will still be starting most of our games and coming on as a sub in others. City manage to rotate many more players than us.

What is this nonsense you’re trying to peddle? Did United, Chelsea or City not buy anyone when they were dominating? Of course they did, you have to continually add to the squad in order to stop teams working you out and from being caught out with an ageing squad. Your idea that we won’t sign a top player because of game time is ridiculous and brainless.
I suspect the truth is you just don’t want us to strengthen and become even stronger.

You’re asking one of the best forwards in the whole world to sign for one of maybe two or three teams in the entire world where he wouldn’t be a guaranteed starter and one of the first names on the team sheet. Players who want to achieve things join teams that they think can help them. It’s already been explained to you that he’ll get plenty of game time at Liverpool. The modern game generally involves plenty of rotation, and the majority of players accept this. Playing less games in a heavily contested playing schedule will prolong a players career and reduce the chance of injury.
It’s all common sense, which is probably why you’re struggling with it.
